Luca Finardi, who has been the hotel's GM since its opening in 2015, now takes over as GM of Mandarin Oriental, Paris, and as Area Vice President Operations for Italy, France, and the Czech Republic. Finardi started with the group in 2014 and oversaw the opening of Mandarin Oriental, Lago di Como in 2018.

🍹 Castagner, an Italian distillery led by Roberto Castagner alongside Silvia, Giulia, Giovanni, and Carlo Castagner, expands from grappa to aperitifs with Bitter Castagner and Vermouth Castagner. 💻 BizAway, a business travel service company, appointed Fabio Bianchi as the new Head of Engineering. 🏨 Christian Clerc to become President and CEO of Auberge Resorts in September, succeeding Craig Reid after his 10-year tenure. Clerc has significant industry experience, including as Global President of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts from 2016 to 2022. At Four Seasons, Clerc oversaw operations of 127 hotels, 51 residential properties, over 50 properties in development, and a workforce of 50,000 across 47 countries. Auberge Resorts, owned by The Friedkin Group, has 28 properties worldwide.

📍 Boeing announced Dave Calhoun's resignation in 2024 and named Kelly Ortberg as the new CEO and president, starting August 8. Ortberg, with 35 years of experience and a mechanical engineering degree, joins Boeing from outside the company, replacing Calhoun who was on the board for over a decade. Ortberg aims to prioritize safety and quality amongst Boeing's 170,000 employees, following incidents like the Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max losing a door mid-flight.

🛩 Robert Ortberg became the new CEO of Boeing during one of its worst times, as announced in the second quarter financial data, reporting a loss of over $1.4 billion due to reduced revenue. Boeing also agreed to a $244 million fine in a criminal investigation related to two Max incidents and is tackling supply chain issues, with hopes of mitigating them by reacquiring Spirit AeroSystems.

🚢 Barbara Biffi has been named vice president of global sales for Silversea Cruises, succeeding Massimo Brancaleoni. Biffi, part of Silversea since 2007, previously worked at Msc Crociere and Yonderbound, returning to Silversea in 2017 as vice president, brand. These changes follow Bert Hernandez's appointment as president in April, after Barbara Muckermann's departure.
