Francesca has managed the venue since 2004. In 2019, she introduced Le Terrazze, a rooftop restaurant. 🚧 In the hospitality sector, women comprise 61% of the workforce and 64% in travel agencies and tour operators. Despite this, a woman earns 14.7% less than a man for the same roles. Only 7% of CEO positions in the leisure industry are held by women, 22% in top management, and 33% in senior management. Since 2019, there has been a +4% increase in female CEOs and +17% in managerial roles since 2007. For hotel managers, the increase is only +2%, with no change in female CEOs. Women in tourism management receive only 15% of media mentions. Closing gender gaps could raise GDP per capita by 20% and create nearly 300 million jobs by 2035. The average pension for men is about 60% higher than for women, with figures at €1,430 vs €884 in 2022.

🍰 Chef Pasquale Tozzi will present six different leavened products on Sunday, November 17, from 10:30 to 20:00 at Lavazza in Turin during the Lievitato event, marking the culmination of the Lavazza Experience and leading up to the Nitto ATP Finals 2024. The event features a classic panettone with 19-hour leavening, a chocolate version, a citrus variety excluding raisins, a smoked apricot panettone, Rosa del Garda in two versions, and a pandoro with a unique emulsion, all showcasing Tozzi's expertise in fermentation. Additionally, there will be talks on industry trends and the "Pizza e lievitati d'autore" session with Tozzi at 17:00.

🚀 Giuseppe De Martino was named the Italian Hotel General Manager of 2024 by EHMA – European Hotel Managers Association's Italian Chapter. De Martino, who has been the General Manager of The St. Regis Rome since March 2018, was recognized for his visionary leadership and innovative capabilities, contributing to the hotel's financial, operational, and reputational growth. He returned to Italy in 2008 after over a decade in international roles across New York, Amsterdam, Paris, and London. Previously, he managed Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center Rome (2013-2018) and The Westin Europa & Regina Venice (2008-2013). Since 2020, he's the Marriott East Italy Business Council Chair and teaches at Luiss Business School. De Martino has been an EHMA member since 2016.
