💰 In 2025, city tax revenues in Italy are expected to rise by +15.8% to €1.186 billion, spanning 1,389 municipalities. In 2024, collections reached €1.024 billion, a +29.1% increase over 2023's €793.5 million. Lazio led in 2024 with over €300 million, a significant jump from €189 million in 2023. Tuscany followed with €121 million, up from €107 million the previous year. Lombardy also saw growth, with €114 million in 2024 compared to €93 million in 2023. Rome alone generated €292 million, marking a +61.2% increase. Florence and Milan saw revenues of over €76.5 million, up by +9.9% and +23.2% respectively. Rimini was the top beach destination, netting around €14 million, a +30.5% increase. Sorrento and Jesolo followed with €9.2 million (+31.6%) and €5.7 million (−1.4%). In thermal towns, Abano Terme led with over €3.7 million (+22.1%), followed by Merano with €3.2 million (+37.2%), and Ischia with more than €2.2 million (+12.4%). Among lake destinations, Como topped with approximately €4.
