Europe's potential accessible tourism market is estimated at 127.5 million people, including individuals with disabilities (46 million) and seniors over 65 (81 million). Italy calculates 12.5 million people have faced severe autonomy limitations for at least six months. The first law for the elimination of architectural barriers in housing in Italy was established in 1989 (Law 13/1989). The "Manifesto for Accessible Tourism" was introduced in 2009, and in 2012, the Permanent Committee for Accessible Tourism was created. The For All – Rome project, launched two weeks ago, aims to connect major arrival points with iconic city sites through eight accessible paths. The initiative includes a digital platform and training for operators to create an inclusive, accessible tourism system.

Lo studio Danone su italiani e yogurt: consumi in crescita e attenzione alla salute

🥚 In Italy, yogurt and fermented milk product consumption increased from 8.8kg to 10kg per capita annually over the past four years. Supermarkets and hypermarkets saw a 0.8% volume sales increase, specialist personal care and home stores 4.5%, discounts 2.6%, and e-commerce 10.8%. Danone Italia, with Circana, Kantar, SKIM, and YouGov, conducted the study on over 25,000 consumers, presented on May 7, 2025. 41% of Italians have adopted preventative medical routines, up from 33% in 2022, and 52% believe in a balanced diet for a healthy life. Italians consume less yogurt than other European countries, with annual per capita consumption at 10kg compared to 49kg in Croatia, highlighting growth potential. Online, 43% of Italians research yogurt before or during purchase, and e-commerce sales increased by 10.8% with 33 million online shoppers. Danone aims to raise annual per capita consumption to 15kg.

In 2024, with just 15 employees, Hotiday saw a +500% revenue growth over 2023, opening its first Room Collection abroad in Paris. The company collaborates with over 65 entities including TH Resorts, covering more than 90 European destinations. Hotiday introduces the first global decentralized hotel concept, optimizing hotel room usage and strategy through proprietary algorithms, revenue management systems, and data analysis, promising a seamless, worry-free digital travel experience.

Abu Dhabi, arriva il riconoscimento facciale negli hotel

🏨 Abu Dhabi hotels are implementing facial recognition technology to enhance guest security and streamline check-in processes. The initiative is a cooperation between the Department of Culture and Tourism-Abu Dhabi (Dct Abu Dhabi) and the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security (Icp). The technology, introduced at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai, is currently in a pilot phase with selected hotels and will first launch in five-star properties across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. The system securely encrypts and analyzes biometric data during guest check-ins, ensuring seamless, safer travel experiences.
