☕ The Ernesto Illy International Coffee Award 2024 will be decided on November 12 in New York, with a jury including renowned chef Massimo Bottura and two other Michelin-starred chefs, Viki Geunes and Felipe Rodriguez. 27 coffee producers from nine countries including Brazil and Ethiopia are finalists. Illycaffè, founded in 1933, is an Italian family business that selects only 1% of the best Arabica beans. The 100% Emilian supply chain project, established in 2016, ensures quality and traceability with advanced agricultural practices in Bologna, Modena, and Ferrara. Gran Riserva flour line is CSQA certified and partly "Sustainable" since 2022. A renewable three-year plan includes educational meetings, carbon footprint analysis, personalized nutritional plans, and N Tester devices for optimized fertilization.

🌲 Residenza Khaddiuggia, managed by nearly octogenarian Manila Foresti Sancinelli, is the first Italian enterprise to join the Top 100 Stories list from Green Destinations. The competition showcases 100 exemplary destinations and businesses addressing environmental, social, and economic challenges to promote responsible travel experiences. Residenza Khaddiuggia, located on the island of Pantelleria, achieved second-level (Silver) certification and has been recognized for its innovative, original, and replicable model of eco-friendly hospitality. The business stood out for involving local producers and guests in a network that fosters both a circular economy and more humane, empathetic tourism, as well as intergenerational collaboration with IATH Academy Lake Como students. Concetta D’Emma, Italy's Green Destinations representative, played a key role in this achievement, promoting Italian tourism stories of passion, sacrifice, and resilience.

💧 Acqua Minerale San Benedetto confirmed as the official sponsor for Corsa dei Santi 2024, to be held on November 1st in Rome, marking the 16th edition. The event, organized by ACSI Italia Atletica under Prime Time Promotions, features a 10 km competitive run and a non-competitive path, starting from Piazza Pio XII. San Benedetto will provide participants with 0.5L Ecogreen bottled water from their “CO₂ Zero Impact” line. Founded in 1956, the company is present in 100 countries and leads Italy's non-alcoholic beverage market according to 2023 GlobalData stats.

🍷 Ottella, an Italian winery, secured the Best of Wine Tourism award at the Great Wine Capitals Annual Conference, excelling in the Architecture and Landscape category. It also triumphed by winning the Global Best Of Wine Tourism 2025. Run by Francesco and Michele Montresor, the fourth-generation leaders, the winery was founded in 1905 in Peschiera del Garda, Verona. The Montresor family's 90-hectare estate, recognized for its high-quality wines, encapsulates art and sustainability in its contemporary architecture.

🍎 SEC Newgate Italia conducted research for CSO Italy, which represents about 60% of fruit and vegetable producers in Italy. The study, conducted in early October, surveyed 511 Danes aged 18-65, revealing over 98% consume fruits and vegetables, nearly 90% prefer organic, and more than 60% purchase them 3+ times weekly. Additionally, 8% of Danes would pay over 30% extra for organic produce. Over 75% rate Italian food quality 7-10/10, and 91% would buy Italian produce if available locally. The findings were presented in Copenhagen at a Made in Nature project event.
