Baladin celebra il successo della campagna di equity crowdfunding

🍺 Baladin Brewery celebrated their €5 million equity crowdfunding success with 2,197 new shareholders in less than 6 days, by hosting a party at Baladin Open Garden in Piozzo (CN) on September 14th, welcoming over 1,600 people. Projects discussed included the environmentally-focused Baladin Green Project and Open Hub, a collaborative brewery targeting a 50,000 hectoliters yearly production by 2028. The event concluded with a surprise DJ set by the music group Subsonica.

🌊 Enrico Piccigallo, creator of Poseidon Gin, combines high-quality distillation with civic commitment by donating profits to Sea Shepherd Italia for ocean protection. The 100% recyclable product, made in Piemonte, Italy, features juniper, angelica, coriander, cardamom, citrus fruits, and salicornia. Honored with "Best Idea Concept" at the Gin Awards on September 9 in Milan, this gin launched in the summer of 2023 but faced website hacking. Poseidon Gin is sold directly and online.

Nuovo studio Fairtrade: la certificazione come strumento per la tutela delle foreste

🌱 A study commissioned by Fairtrade revealed that cocoa and coffee cooperatives with Fairtrade certification are motivated to protect forests in compliance with the upcoming EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), effective by year-end. The research, titled "Effect of Fairtrade on Forest Protection and Deforestation Prevention," conducted from April 2023 to May 2024 by KIT, The Chain Collaborative, and Expressing Origin, involved over 60 document analyses, stakeholder interviews, and fieldwork in Colombia, Honduras, and Côte d'Ivoire. It highlights Fairtrade's role in fostering agroecology and agroforestry, offering a minimum price and premium for forest conservation investments. The study suggests certification helps build multi-stakeholder partnerships and provides additional resources for EUDR compliance, such as geolocation techniques.

Planet Farms rinnova la linea di insalate FRESCAAH e PESTOOH

🌿 Planet Farms, an agritech company, relaunched their FRESCAAH salad and PESTOOH pesto ranges from their new facility in Cirimido. FRESCAAH features six salads and PESTOOH comes in two variants. PESTOOH basil, grown pesticide-free, retains essential oils and has over 35 days shelf-life without preservatives. CEO Mara Valsecchi emphasizes the high standards of quality, freshness, and taste. Salads are priced between €1.99 and €2.19, available in supermarkets and online through Cortilia and Glovo. Planet Farms, founded in Milan in 2018, practices vertical farming technology.

🏦 Autogrill, leader in travel dining, and IPlanet, a joint venture between IP and Macquarie Capital EV Asset Holding, sealed a partnership today to develop a new dining concept in 41 service stations across Italy, with the first opening set for 2024. IPlanet's Pasquale Cuzzola and Autogrill’s Nuova Sidap CEO Bruno Bestetti formalized the agreement. The eco-friendly design will feature cafeterias, bars, snacks, and light cooking, employing circular economy principles and creating 200 new jobs. Locations include 13 in Lombardy, 9 in Piedmont, 6 in Lazio, and others spread across Puglia, Veneto, Trentino-Alto Adige, Liguria, Emilia-Romagna, Marche, Umbria, and Calabria.

A Ravenna lo spreco alimentare si combatte anche nelle mense scolastiche
