🌱 In Cerveteri, Vivenda Spa, part of La Cascina Cooperativa, implemented environmental, economic, and social sustainability policies in school canteens, including eliminating plastic, using sustainable energy with photovoltaic panels, energy-efficient equipment, and electric vans. The project, under Lazio branch director Massimo Montagna and presented by Mayor Elena Gubetti, Vice Mayor Federica Battafarano, and others, introduced reusable tableware and microfiltered water dispensers in schools, aligning with waste reduction goals. Ingredients used are organic, locally sourced, and zero-kilometer, further reducing environmental impact.

The average Italian citizen wastes 67 kg of food annually, leading to 180 kg of CO2e emissions, the use of 187 m² of soil, and 54,270 liters of water, costing about 360 euros per person, or 13% of the average food budget. The initiative includes daily tips for participants to reduce waste at home.

Malaysia aims to host 27.3 million arrivals in 2024 and targets 35.6 million international tourists by 2026. Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, Director General of Tourism Malaysia, highlights Italy among the top five European markets and anticipates more Italian tourists in the coming years. Visit Malaysia 2026 focuses on cultural richness and sustainable tourism.
