Roberto Calugi, FIPE-Confcommercio General Director, highlighted the need for incentives over obligations to support small and medium businesses in the sector. Waste Watcher Observatory reveals that 56% of food waste happens in households, not restaurants. FIPE offers a communication kit with the "Love Food No Waste" logo and the "Rimpiattino" initiative, launched in 2019, for taking home leftover food. 93% of Italian restaurateurs already provide food & beverage boxes, questioning the effectiveness of making it a legal requirement. FIPE continues to advocate for sustainable solutions in the restaurant industry.
