In Senato, FIPE ribadisce il proprio impegno contro lo spreco alimentare

🍴 FIPE, during a Senate committee hearing, stressed its commitment to fighting food waste and shared enhancement proposals for upcoming regulations. Roberto Calugi, FIPE-Confcommercio General Director, highlighted the need for incentives over obligations to support small and medium businesses in the sector. Waste Watcher Observatory reveals that 56% of food waste happens in households, not restaurants. FIPE offers a communication kit with the "Love Food No Waste" logo and the "Rimpiattino" initiative, launched in 2019, for taking home leftover food. 93% of Italian restaurateurs already provide food & beverage boxes, questioning the effectiveness of making it a legal requirement. FIPE continues to advocate for sustainable solutions in the restaurant industry.

Elephant Gin celebra la Giornata Internazionale del Caffè con Coffee Liqueur

🍸 Elephant Gin launched their Coffee Liqueur in 2022, crafted by German duo Robin and Tessa Gerlach. The liqueur blends Elephant Aged Gin with Ethiopian cold brew coffee and coffee distillate, featuring notes of cane sugar, nougat, and cranberry. It's designed for consumption post-meal or as a dessert alternative. 15% of profits from Elephant Gin's sales aid the African Wildlife Foundation. The liqueur is sold on dispensa.com at €38,90. In March 2023, Elephant Gin earned a B Corp certification.

The world's coffee production involves 25 million small producers across more than 40 countries within the coffee belt. Lavazza has backed over 50 projects since its establishment in 2004.

Mowi Professional, la risposta alle nuove tendenze alimentari nella ristorazione

🍹 Mowi, a Norwegian leader in the salmon sector, offers a range of products for restaurants called MOWI PROFESSIONAL, featuring cold-smoked salmon, salmon burgers, and tartare. Despite a 3.1% increase in foodservice prices from 2023, 88% of surveyed Italians continue dining out. The CREST study by Circana shows a 1.2% increase in fish consumption in restaurants from 2022, with salmon dishes accounting for 30% of total fish consumption. MOWI PROFESSIONAL products, rich in Omega 3, are responsibly farmed in Norwegian fjords without antibiotics or GMOs, and certified by Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC). The line includes CRYO-frozen salmon cubes (2 Kg), breaded salmon burgers (150g), and natural burgers (100g). Mowi has topped the Coller FAIRR index for sustainable protein producers for five consecutive years.
