🍷 Signorvino collaborates with Chora Media to launch "Vini Mito," a podcast featuring Italian wine icons Barolo, Amarone della Valpolicella, and Supertuscan; available on Spotify and other audio streaming platforms starting October 17. The series, narrated by Jacopo Cossater and Graziano Nani, explores the history and evolution of these prestigious wines. Episode 1 on Barolo airs October 17, Episode 2 on Amarone October 24, and Episode 3 on Supertuscan October 31. Signorvino aims to reach 50 locations by 2025 with a projected turnover of 85 million euros in 2024, up from 40 current outlets.

Lavazza, founded in 1895 in Turin, boasts a €3 billion turnover, a presence in 140 markets, 8 production plants in 5 countries, and produces over 30 billion coffee cups annually.

Val di Cembra: da Dolo&Vini&Miti un dibattito su rischi e opportunità dei percorsi di valorizzazione dei territori vitivinicoli

🍷 The Dolo-Vini-Miti wine festival in its second edition, held from October 11 to 20, hosted over 20 events in Val di Cembra and Val di Fiemme to celebrate "vertical wines" and their territories. Damiano Zanotelli's committee VIVACE successfully nominated Val di Cembra for the registration of historic rural landscapes in October 2020 and is pursuing GIAHS recognition. Bruno Bertero reported a UNESCO designation's economic impact for Langhe-Roero-Monferrato: 121 million euros financial effect, including a 32 million euro communication value. However, Bertero highlighted worrying social effects such as continuous depopulation and property acquisition by outsiders, endangering local succession. The Etna Doc Consortium is regulating growth, with vineyard hectares increasing from 600 to 1,500 between 2013 and 2023.

📦 Frullà, a blended fruit specialist, unveils a new sustainable packaging design and revised naming for its products, maintaining a minimalist approach to enhance brand visibility. The updated design highlights the Frullà logo with a red outline, except for the organic line which uses green. Changes also include simplified product line names; Frullà Classico becomes Frullà, Bio line changes to Biologico, and Puro line to 100%. The recyclable doypack packaging has a resealable cap and is aluminum-free. Three years ago, Frullà introduced Italy's first fully recyclable fruit pulp bag. The brand emphasizes health, responsible consumption, and sustainable practices, striving for a positive environmental impact.

Marsala Ingham Superiore: l’incontro perfetto tra storia e mixology

🍷 In 1809, Benjamin Ingham, an English merchant, arrived in Sicily and began producing high-quality Marsala wine, later known internationally. Stefano Saccardi and Sonia Spadaro, creators of Vulcanica vodka, collaborated with Cantine Florio to develop Ingham Marsala Superiore, a semi-dry Marsala designed for mixology. Grillo grapes are used in the production, handpicked for sugar concentration, and the wine matures for at least two years in oak barrels. The Sicilian Martini cocktail features 6 cl Vulcanica Vodka, 1.5 cl Ingham Marsala, and a garnish of cucuncio. Vulcanica Vodka and Ingham Marsala are distributed in Italy by Distilleria Nardini.

Allegrini presenta il primo Bilancio di Sostenibilità 2024

They reduced non-recyclable waste by 3,500 kg in 2022 and are constructing Tenuta Merigo, a new production center focused on sustainable practices. Allegrini's team is young, with an average age of 35, and saw a 30% increase in female presence in 2024.

The workforce is 64.4% female, and 99.5% of Cantabrian anchovy supply is MSC certified. In 2023, they saved over 58,000 kg of fish from waste in Spain and Peru and measured their Corporate Environmental Footprint with the University of Cantabria's collaboration.

In Italy, around one-third of the population is sedentary. SINU also promotes sustainable eating models and Mediterranean Diet benefits, focusing on health and environmental sustainability.
