Flor de Caña Rum: Simone Sacco è il vincitore della finale italiana della Sustainable Cocktail Challenge 2024

🍸 Italian bartender Simone Sacco won the Italian leg of the "Road to Las Isletas, Sustainable Cocktail Challenge 2024" held in Madrid on September 25, using Flor de Caña Rum. His sustainable cocktail "People" featured locally sourced ingredients. Sacco will compete in the global finals in Nicaragua in 2025. Flor de Caña Rum, the world's first Carbon Neutral and Fair Trade certified spirit, is distilled with 100% renewable energy and has planted a million trees since 2005.

Balfegó, known for sustainable practices, is the only company globally to market fresh Mediterranean tuna year-round and is a certified B Corp.

Il Consorzio Grana Padano insieme a Smart Future Academy

📈 In Brescia, Stefano Berni, Director General of the Grana Padano Consortium, spoke at the 8th Smart Future Academy to guide high school students. The Consortium, protecting the world's most consumed PDO, is involved in educational workshops. Grana Padano involves 143 companies, 137 dairies, 142 ripening facilities, and 197 pre-packaging operators. In 2023, 5,456,500 cheese wheels were produced (+4.69%), with 2,481,891 forms exported (+6.55%). The gross sellable cheese production reached €3.7 billion, divided between Italy (€1.75 billion) and abroad (€1.95 billion). Grana Padano has been a PDO since April 24, 2002, and the Consortium has been safeguarding its quality since 1954.
