  • Tony Loeb
  • 8 Aprile 2025
🚢 Italy's nautical tourism, particularly boat charters, boasts a €200 million turnover, potentially doubling to €400 million with occasional rentals. With over 2 million users and 20,000 boats, Luciano Rigli from Kiriacoulis Holiday highlights the sector's underappreciated potential. Italy's 6,500 travel agencies could earn an average of €62,000 each, plus commissions, from this market. Rigli's online booking platform, Filoscafo, is set to tap into this opportunity.

Italia del vino: leader nei segmenti base e premium, quota residuale nel luxury

  • Tony Loeb
  • 7 Aprile 2025
🍷 Italy leads global wine market as the main supplier of premium wines, including Entry level and Popular segments, according to the Osservatorio del Vino UIV-Vinitaly analysis presented in Verona. However, Italian wines represent only 2% of the volume and 9% of the value in the luxury segment, compared to France's 42% and the United States' 30%. The Italian wine sector's total consumption value is estimated at $29.9 billion. In the Deluxe wines category (retail over $25, starting at $8 at the winery), Italy holds a 10% share ($2.8 billion), while France and the U.S. have 47% and 29% respectively. Italy boasts a 23% sales share ($15.9 billion) in the Entry level and Popular category (up to $15 retail, under $5 from the winery) and a 30% share ($11.2 billion) in the Premium category (products priced between $15-$25 retail). The Italian Premium segment is expected to face zero price growth by 2028, with the Luxury segments predicted to grow by 2% annually in volume and value.
