L’identità del Trentino nei vini di Villa Corniole
🍷 Villa Corniole, established in 1998, controls about 10 hectares of vineyards, with 7 hectares in Val di Cembra at 600-900 meters above sea level, and 3 hectares in Piana Rotaliana. The vineyard produces around 70,000 bottles of still wines and 45,000 of Trento Doc annually, with 35% destined for international markets. The Pellegrini family, led by Onorio and Maddalena and their daughters Sara, Linda, and Sabina, emphasizes hand-picked grapes and sustainable practices. The winery offers three main lines: I Classici, Le Selezioni, and Spumanti Trentodoc Linea Salísa. Salísa Zero Riserva, the flagship sparkling wine, is aged 60 months on lees. Villa Corniole recently won a legal case against Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) over the name of their Pinot Nero “Sagum”, and was included in Forbes' 100 Iconic Wineries of Italy in March.
