In Canada, the Transport Ministry has also called airlines to discuss free hand luggage for all travel classes. CarTrawler's report highlighted a record high in ancillary revenue, which allows travelers with lower spending power to utilize base fares, while the 55% who opt for extras help subsidize these tickets.
