🚠 On February 10, at the BIT convention titled "Tourist Buses and Limited Traffic Zones: A Possible Coexistence (?)", a report revealed the increasing complexity and costliness of regulations for tourist buses in both large and small cities. These restrictions have hindered the development of collective road tourism, especially in cities like Rome, Florence, and Venice, where bus tourists paying triple compared to other transport modes due to a uniform accommodation tax. Federturismo Confindustria President, Marina Lalli, emphasized the need for a new approach to promote and regulate bus access to urban centers. A decree from the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to standardize and cap ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone) tariffs and a single portal for ZTL rules and rates across Italian cities were suggested as solutions.

✈️ Ryanair, aiming to reduce airport management costs, will require passengers to use digital boarding passes from May, disallowing physical check-in desk printing, previously available for a 23-euro fee. Priority Boarding remains available for an additional carry-on or paid luggage check-in.

Arabia Saudita, il Gruppo Fs firma la metropolitana di Riyadh

The Group secured operation and maintenance services for metro lines 3, 4, 5, and 6 for a 12-year period. This is part of Saudi Arabia's wider shift towards sustainable mobility, including infrastructure enhancement and public transport services. With this goal, FS Italiane established Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane Saudi Arabia for land transport in Riyadh in 2019 to manage the project and identify further development opportunities.

L'export agroalimentare italiano cresce ancora: oltre 21 miliardi nel 2024

📈 Italian agri-food districts' exports grew by 7.7% to over €21 billion in the first nine months of 2024. The wine sector neared €5 billion (+4.4%), with mixed results across regions: Vini del Veronese (+9.6%), Vini dei colli fiorentini e senesi (+11%), Prosecco di Conegliano-Valdobbiadene (+8%), while Vini di Langhe, Roero e Monferrato declined (-1.6%). Pasta and sweets export reached €3.6 billion (+7.6%), with Dolci di Alba e Cuneo at nearly €1.5 billion (+18.6%). Agricultural exports surpassed €2.9 billion (+5.4%), led by Alto Adige apples (+20%). Preserved food exports increased by €112 million (+5%), and meat and charcuterie advanced by €59 million (+3.1%). Dairy saw a €95 million rise (+5.2%), and coffee exports grew by 9.5%. Olive oil exports surged by €522 million (+52.4%), while rice remained stable (-0.3%). The fishery sector from Polesine and Veneziano rose by 11.6%.
