CDSHotels arriva in Calabria con il nuovo Le Castella

🏡 CDSHotels will inaugurate Le Castella-Ninfe Saracene in Calabria in June 2025. Ada Miraglia, the company's Commercial Director, highlights this strategic expansion. The 4-star superior facility will feature 85 rooms, a pool, a restaurant with terrace, and a beach club, with a conference center and wellness center planned for 2026. In 2024, the group saw a 7% growth, nearing €60 million in revenue. There was a 37% increase in international tourists from 2023, with French visitors outnumbering Germans. North American (Canada and USA) and Australian markets have also expanded. A new digital platform will enhance guest experience, forecasting a 36% increase for 2025.

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez credited enhanced connectivity, positioning as a regional hub with two international airports, expanded accommodation offerings, investment in human capital, and performance. The destination expanded air links with airlines like American Airlines, Delta, and JetBlue, and welcomed back Condor plus newcomer Sunrise Airways. The cruise sector also experienced a positive year with increased homeporting operations, and further expansion is expected in 2025.

Fto: a gennaio jet fuel ancora sopra i 700 dollari

🛢 Jet fuel prices remained stable for the fourth consecutive month, exceeding $700. In January, the IATA bulletin reported by Fto listed the average jet fuel price per ton at $759.08. There was a 7.90% increase from December, equivalent to $55.60. Compared to January 2023, there was a decrease of $92.50 or -10.86%. The average dollar exchange rate in January was $1.03537 for one euro, marking a -1.19% depreciation of the euro from the previous month.

Vola Air Europa Risultati record sull’Italia

Andrea Guizzardi, director of the Osservatorio Business Travel at Politecnico di Milano, presented at Travel Innovation Day 2025 that the geoeconomic center of businesses is shortening due to various risk factors. 'Non-core' business trips, such as collective and MICE events, have tripled compared to pre-Covid times. There is a spending gap, with international level at -1% and national level at +4%. Air transport prices dropped by -1.8% in 2023, and even more for intercontinental flights at -9.6%. Projections for 2025 suggest a steady increase to around €22.5 million.

In the year ending June 2024, e-commerce sales reached €1.2 billion versus €47.7 billion in physical supermarkets and hypermarkets. Online sales of "rich-in" and "free-from" products (like lactose-free or gluten-free) made up 28% more than physical stores, while "lifestyle" and "Corporate Social Responsibility" products had a similar 27% higher share online. Italian products like DOP slightly exceeded average online presence by 3%, with "free-from" goods at a 99% index.
