🍕 The seventh edition of "Pizza a Vico" took place in Vico Equense from September 23 to 25, drawing over 40,000 visitors and serving more than 35,000 slices of pizza. Despite the bad weather on the first day and cooler temperatures later in the month, the event was highly successful. The "Premio Dell’Amura," dedicated to Luigi Dell’Amura, inventor of the meter-long pizza, was awarded to restaurant "da Giovanni." The jury, chaired by journalist Luciano Pignataro, included esteemed gastronomic figures. The event, sponsored by the Campania Region, showcased 100 master pizza makers from 26 local pizzerias and was funded by the Campania Region through the FSC program for the Promotion of Gastronomic Tourism.

🍕 On September 30th, at the Spazio Antologico of East End Studios in Milan, the 4th edition of The Best Pizza Awards will take place. Campania dairy company Sorì, known for Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP and other high-quality dairy products, supports the event. Starting at 16:00, workshops with master pizzaioli will showcase their skills. Notable participants include Antonio Visentin and Gianmarco Ambrifi of Pizzeria della Passeggiata, Giacomo Garau of Olio e Basilico, and Giovanni Senese of Pizzeria Senese. The event concludes with a Pizza Party Dinner, highlighting top-quality ingredients and traditional techniques.

🍰 "Maritozzo Day" will be celebrated on Thursday, October 3, at the Galleria Iginio Massari di Firenze, located at via de’ Vecchietti 3-5. The event highlights the beloved traditional Italian sweet, the maritozzo, with a twist by Master Iginio Massari and family. The experience allows participants to customize their maritozzi with expert patissiers. Time slots available are 10:30-11:30, 11:30-12:30, 16:30-17:30, 17:30-18:30, 18:30-19:30. 🍷 Distilleria Petrone in Italy pioneers underwater aging for liquor, starting in 2021 with Elixir Falernum and recently submerging 450 Limoncello bottles on September 25 near Castel dell'Ovo, Naples. The University of Naples collaborates scientifically, with results expected in December. The project involves ArcheoClub d'Italia and youngsters from Area Penale of Naples, gaining diving skills and scholarships for future job opportunities.

🥂 On September 18, 2024, Asiago hosted the Global Final of the AkademyLab 20/20 Cocktail Competition. Six talented bartenders from Ukraine, the UK, Lithuania, Latvia, China, and Italy competed. Oksana Tykhanska, a 24-year-old barlady from Odessa's Flacon Bar, won with her cocktail “THE OCEAN OF SOULS”. The event was judged by industry experts Giorgio Maggi, Michele Di Carlo, Danilo Bellucci, and Giorgio Fadda. Tykhanska's winning cocktail included 22.5 ml Vodka, 15ml Volare Triple sec, and more, praised for its tropical and marine notes.

🍕 Elementi Cocktail & Pizza in Barberino del Mugello won the special prize for Best Cocktail Pairing from the prestigious "Pizzerie d’Italia 2025" guide by Gambero Rosso during a ceremony in Naples. Opened in 2019, with a recent expansion to Prato, it retains the "Due Spicchi" recognition. Owners include Tommaso Sarti, Domenico Varone, Lorenzo Gironi, Benedetta Berti, Fabio Buccino, and Francesco Giuntini. Elementi is also listed among Italy's best cocktail bars by Blue Blazer.

🍺 Hopstuni beer fest, a craft beer celebration, runs from September 27 to 29, 2024, at Sandro Pertini Municipal Park in Ostuni (BR), aiming to promote craft beer diversity and culture. The event features workshops, live music, DJ sets, street performers, a bikers' gathering, and a crafts market. Highlights include Danilo Pronat & FPS, Din Jay, Rekkiabilly, Misspia, Fanfarròni, Khris & Damien Band, and Giovanni Pacifico aka Fordek. 🍻 The 8th Genova Beer Festival organized by APS Papille Clandestine is set at Villa Bombrini in Cornigliano, starting Friday, September 27 at 18:00, and lasting for three days. It features a selection from top Italian craft breweries, exceptional attendance from Ireland's Galway Bay Brewery, artisanal cider, 9 food options, and a tap list of 150 beers.
