☕ Over 200 visitors attended "Gradisca un caffè...o un caffè a Gradisca?" event at La San Marco in Gradisca d’Isonzo. The open morning lasted from 9 AM to 1 PM, offering an insight into professional coffee machine manufacturing. Visitors enjoyed a factory tour, observed production processes, and tasted espresso, cappuccino, biscuits, and pastries offered by Etica del Gusto. General Director Roberto Nocera and Mayor Alessandro Pagotto highlighted the company's community bond.

🍰 Sicula Gin, an ultra-premium Sicilian distillate, marks its first anniversary with a special "PLACE-BASED" mention at the Gin Awards, highlighting its deep connection to Sicily. The award-winning limited edition features a label by famous Sicilian illustrator Diego Fichera. A new extremely limited series will debut at Berlin's Bar Convent on October 14-15. The gin uses local botanicals like Sicilian juniper, blood orange, and thyme, and is committed to sustainable practices.

🍪 "Roma Food Excel," a biennial event focusing on the Horeca industry, will take place from October 13 to 16 at Fiera Roma. The event will feature over 150 exhibitors from key sectors like Bread-making, Pastry, Gelato, Candy, Pizza, Beer, Wine, Catering, Fresh Pasta, Bars, Public Establishments & Hotels. A special section is dedicated to artisanal gelato, in collaboration with the Italian Ice Cream Association and PuntoIT magazine. Highlights include competitions like "Coppa Italia di Gelateria" on October 14 and "Concorso Gianicolo d’Oro" on October 15, as well as a "Trofeo Città di Roma" pizza contest on October 15. 🍴 Montasio DOP featured at Caseus Veneti on October 5-6, 2024, at Villa Contarini, Piazzola sul Brenta, Padova. Events include cooking shows, guided tastings, and a market exhibition. The festival merges with the "Festival delle DOP" offering a variety of activities. Montasio DOP, a cheese from Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto orientale, will be highlighted through guided tastings and cooking shows. Caseus Veneti awards 386 Veneto cheeses and a National Farmhouse Cheese Contest with 89 entries take place on October 5 starting at 9.30 am. Chef Sander Wildenberg of JOLA' in Jesolo will conduct a cooking show on October 5 at 17.00.

🍹 Spiritosa Festival held its second edition at Castello Volante di Corigliano d’Otranto. The event, organized by Sartoria degli Spiriti and Michele Manca’s team, aims to attract both professionals and the general public, enhancing visibility for exhibitors and promoting responsible drinking culture. Despite challenges like high visitor turnout on September 28, innovations like the "secret bar" and the first Vintage Bar Market in Italy were highlights. The Spiritosa Festival Competition, judged by a panel including Oscar Quagliarini, raised the event's excitement. Future considerations include changing locations for better accessibility and varied experiences.

🍴 Young chefs and pizzaioli competed at the ELIS Training Center in Rome on October 1st and 2nd, showcasing their culinary skills to a jury. Finalists from the EmergenteChef under 30 and EmergentePizza under 35 categories will join winners from the Selezione Nord for the grand finale in spring 2025. Special awards went to Vincenzo D’Alessandro for "Sustainability," Domenico Perna for "Best Wine Pairing," and Erica Panosetti for "Best Bread." EmergentePizza's "Pizzaiolo of Change" went to Luca Fusacchia, with David Boncompagni securing the "Best Wine Pairing" prize. ELIS, a non-profit, trained over 11,000 individuals through 300 courses in 2023.

🥃 Spirits & Colori organizes a national itinerant whisky event with ambassadors Fergus Simpson and Michele Reina presenting global whisky excellences. Duncan Taylor, founded in Glasgow in 1938, owns whiskies dating back to 1864 and has over 4,500 casks after being acquired by Euan Shand. Octave Cask, a 50-liter barrel, yields about 70 unique bottles per batch. Masterclass tasting dates in Italy include locations in Viterbo, Florence, Villafranca di Verona, Noventa di Piave, and Treviso from October 2-7, 2024. Ross & Squibb Distillery, known for American Rye and Bourbon, was founded in 1809 and acquired by George Remus in 1921. Products include Remus Straight Bourbon Whiskey aged 5/6 years, Master Crafted Rye 5 Years, Bottled in Bond Straight Rye Whiskey, and Straight Rye Whiskey Barrel Proof aged 7 years, with alcohol volumes ranging from 47% to 58.5%. Additional masterclass dates with Michele Reina span from September 23 to October 24, 2024, in various Italian cities.

🍔 Eataly Roma Ostiense hosts the Burger Festival from October 4-6, 2024, featuring chef Vittorio Gucci's show cooking on October 4 at 19:00. The festival showcases gourmet burgers from various vendors and includes culinary demonstrations, themed gastronomic offerings, and craft beers with free entry. 🍷 Directed by rum expert Leonardo Pinto, the "ShowRUM - Italian Rum Festival" celebrates its 10th edition on October 6-7, 2024, in Bologna at Spazio Dumbo - Binario Centrale. The event features a significant lineup of rum and cachaça producers and includes the ShowRUM Tasting Competition as well as the ShowRUM Taster of the Year award. Public entry on October 6 is €15 with discounted presale, while October 7 is free for trade professionals.

🍴 On September 30, 2024, at Villa Dino in Rome, the exclusive Chefs des Chefs 2024 event gathered the chefs of State Leaders from around the globe. Organized by La Differenza, in collaboration with the world's most exclusive gastronomic club founded by Gilles Bragard on November 21, 1977, the event returned to Italy showcasing Italian culinary excellence. Chefs from various countries, including the USA, China, Canada, and South Africa, participated, offering guests a flavorful journey with dishes from local Roman realities like La Differenza and Bistrot 64.
