🍷 Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini will attend the Merano Wine Festival from November 8-12. Casa Sannio will feature tastings of Falanghina del Sannio Doc, Aglianico del Taburno DOCG, Sannio Doc, and Benevento IGT. Josef Czerny's Kurhaus in Merano serves as the venue. On November 9, 10, and 11, chef Daniele Luongo and pizzaiolo Gino Sorbillo will present local gastronomy, including traditional Neapolitan pizza. 🍹 Milan's nightlife hotspot Flores Cócteles, located at via Macedonio Melloni 9, launches a new series of weekly-changing "event evenings" starting with a special event on November 5 featuring oysters and Martini cocktails. Huîtres Amélie supplies the Fine de Claire and Spéciales de Claire oysters, selectively chosen with only 50 out of 1000 meeting the Amélie quality standard, honored internationally including at the Singapore Awards 2023. Bartender Alessio Gulino will craft a Martini cocktail twist to complement the oysters, infusing Tío Pepe Cherry, Antica Torino Bianco, yuzu bitters, and a saline solution, garnished with an oyster leaf. Flores Cócteles is open Tuesday to Sunday, from 19:00 to 02:00.

🌿 A special event exploring oyster and wine pairings took place at the Yacht Club Marina di Stabia in Naples. Daniele Testa and Alessio Cutino of the Associazione Italiana Ostricari (AIOST) hosted the evening, with resident chef Carlo Verde and sommelier Serena Iammarino crafting pairings. The spotlight was on pre-phylloxera wines, selected to highlight the intrinsic connection between oysters and their marine environment, as well as wine and its terroir. Italian, Irish, and French oysters were served with Campanian pre-phylloxera wines, demonstrating the diverse pairing possibilities beyond the classic champagne and oysters combination.

🏠 In Italy, 75%+ hotel rooms are already booked for Ognissanti, despite one less holiday day compared to 2023. Rome and Venice lead with 82% and 84% occupancy, followed by Milan at 78%, and Naples at 77%. Florence lags with 66%. Perugia and Matera boast 90% and 88%, matching last year's figures, while Verona confirms its 71% from 2023. 🌊 Roberto Perocchio, President of Assomarinas, announced on October 31 at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida the Icomia World Marinas Conference, scheduled for October 15-17, 2025 in Venice at Isola della Certosa. The event will host a maximum of 500 participants from every continent and around 40 speakers from Icomia-affiliated marina organizations.
