🍸 "SPIRIT OF SAVOIA" is a cocktail contest using SAVOIA's vegan-certified aperitif wines: Americano Rosso and Orancio. Registration is open from September 21, the anniversary of SAVOIA, until December 21, involving bars from Italy, Greece, the UK, Hong Kong, Spain, the US, and more. Participating bars will create original cocktails inspired by Marc Alvarez, co-owner of Sips in Barcelona, ranked best in the World's 50 Best Bars 2023. Winning recipes will feature in Difford’s Guide, and the best bar will host a masterclass or guest bartending with Alvarez in early 2025. 🍕 AVPN celebrated its 40th year in 2024 with the Vera Pizza Contest, involving over 1500 pizzaioli from worldwide. The contest had 1570 pizza submissions, but only 765 met the criteria. Winner Mimmo Galasso received a 9-day AVPN School course. The final took place in Naples on November 19-20, judged by Francesca Romana Barberini, Emanuela Sorrentino, and Stefano Di Filippo. Sponsors included Molino Caputo, Effeuno, Gimetal, Olitalia, and Pagnossin. The Best AVPN Pizzeria contest reached a record 59 countries, with first-time entries from Qatar and the Philippines. Voting opened on November 22 and closed on December 5, with the winner to be honored at Sigep 2025 in Rimini, January 18-23.

🍴 On Monday, December 2nd, at ConTatto di Frascati (RM), a special tasting menu paired with Cotarella Family wines will be served. The maître of the restaurant, Lorena Cavana, and the chef, Luca Ludovici, will highlight ingredients aged in the grotto beneath the dining room. Sommelier Paolo Abballe will oversee the wine pairings for the five-course menu. Dishes feature local ingredients like Cardoncello mushrooms and wines include a 100% Rosetto Brut and a 2023 Soente Viognier. The event showcases the local culinary tradition and the versatility of regional wines.

🍕 Magnifica Rotonda pizza, created by Terza Base in Marche, Italy, was ranked 4th among the best frozen pizzas by Gambero Rosso. Born from a friendship on a baseball field in 2021, the company composed of six partners now produces 5,000 pizzas daily with no additives, using quality ingredients like Italian tomatoes and fiordilatte mozzarella. With goals to expand in the USA and Europe, they focus on high-quality frozen pizzas that offer an authentic pizzeria experience at home.

🎉 SIGEP WORLD 25, slated for January 18-22, 2025, will feature an expanded exhibition layout with two new pavilions totaling 138,000 m². A highlight is "Taste of Tomorrow," a sustainable ice cream concept. The Berlin-presented event anticipates attendees from 160 countries, 3,000 foreign buyers, and 1,200 international brands. 🍕 Renowned Neapolitan pizza maker Ciro Salvo teams up with dairy company Sorì at the European Pizza Show, scheduled for November 26-27, 2024, at Olympia National Hall, London. Salvo, who utilizes Sorì products at his UK-based “50 Kalò” pizzeria, will showcase Pizza Margherita in two versions, featuring Sorì's Fior di Latte and Mozzarella di Bufala Campana DOP. Over 300 exhibitors and 10,000 industry professionals from across Europe are expected to attend the event.

✈ Jet2.com will offer 1.9 million seats from Leeds Bradford for summer 2025, flying to 49 destinations. Additional flights to Italy include Rome, with extra services on Mondays and Fridays from July 18 to September 1, 2025, and Verona, with new flights on Sundays from July 6 to September 28, 2025.

✈ easyJet will launch 26 new routes in the upcoming summer season, including a first-ever flight from London to Cape Verde starting March 31. The airline will offer this service three times a week.
