✈ Direct flights between Italy and Libya are set to resume in January 2025 by Ita Airways, as announced by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during the Italia-Libia Business Forum in Tripoli. The reactivation follows an agreement signed last year between Enac's President Pierluigi Di Palma and Libya's Mohamed Shlebikf, leading to a Memorandum of Understanding between Enac and the Libyan Civil Aviation Authority.

🏖 71% of Italians plan to travel for Christmas holidays, with 38% staying away for up to 3 days, 25% for 3-5 days, 21% for a week, and 14% for 8-15 days. Family vacations are preferred by 46%, while 29% travel as couples, 18% with friends, and 7% alone. Top domestic destinations are Milan, Naples, and Rome, followed by Catania, and Torino. Paris leads in European destinations, followed by Vienna and London. For extra-European travels, New York, Sharm El Sheikh, and Istanbul top the list.

🏠 Faro Capel Rosso on Isola del Giglio, Tuscany, offers a luxury experience on November 23 and 24 which includes helicopter flight, landing at the lighthouse, followed by an encounter with Michelin-starred chef-patron Roberto Rossi from restaurant Silene. The visit features an exclusive dinner prepared by Rossi, an overnight stay, a bioenergetic lesson, and breakfast. New events with different chefs are also planned.

🏠 Matera to host the 3rd edition of "Roots-in", the International Tourism Exchange of Roots, on November 18 and 19. Organized by Apt Basilicata, in collaboration with Enit, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ita Airways, the event targets over 80 million people of Italian descent globally. The edition emphasizes the link between Italian roots and 'Made in Italy', featuring a forum, workshops, and talks with 60 experts, and a market with 74 international buyers and 150 sellers from 19 Italian regions.

📍 ITA Airways will participate again this year at the World Travel Market (WTM) in London, showcasing at the ENIT's exhibition space within the Europe pavilion. At the event, Chief Commercial Officer and CEO of Volare, Emiliana Limosani, along with international and local sales teams, will welcome trade representatives. ITA Airways currently offers 43 weekly frequencies in its winter schedule between London and its two hubs in Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate, focusing on London City Airport, a key business traffic segment.

🏕 Msc Cruises to debut in Alaska in 2026 with the Msc Poesia offering seven-night voyages from Seattle starting May 11, 2026. The ship will transition to Miami for the winter after the summer season. Itineraries include stops at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Hoonah, Tracy Arm, Juneau, and Victoria with excursions and land activities. CEO Gianni Onorato highlights the expansion of Msc's global offerings.

🎭 On 29 October at 18:00, 5 Giornate di Milano travel agency hosts 'Intervista impossibile a Giacomo Puccini', featuring Gianfilippo Maria Falsina Lamberti, as part of the 'Ci vediamo in bottega con Giacomo Puccini' project. The event, celebrating the centenary of Puccini's death and his operas set in exotic locations like Japan, the USA, China, Paris, and Rome, will be held at Piazza Cinque Giornate 15, with free entry and refreshments. 🎭 In Paris, the iconic Centre Pompidou, designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, will have an overseas sibling in Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil, set to open in 2026. With an investment of about 32 million euros, the new architectural marvel will offer a visually striking design and immersive contemporary art experiences, integrating seamlessly into Foz do Iguaçu's natural landscape.

📍 Originaltour offers a group trip to Vietnam for New Year's Eve, departing from Milan and Rome on December 28 and returning on January 6. In Hanoi, visitors explore the ancient city on foot or by rickshaw, including the famous 36 streets. The trip includes a visit to Hoi Han to witness lantern-making, and to Tra Que, a village renowned for centuries-old aromatic herb cultivation. 🏗️ The 44th edition of Wtm in London is set to welcome over 40,000 businesses for a trade volume estimated at over £200 million (€240 million). A record-breaking number of exhibitors, up 7% from the previous year, will gather, including over 4,000 entities ranging from hotel chains to tech brands. Deals expected to be signed during the event amount to over £2.2 billion. 40% of visitors plan to stay three days, and a third for a week, in London.
