easyJet, al via il primo volo Malpensa-Salerno

✈ On July 12, easyJet inaugurated flights from Milan Malpensa to Salerno – Costa d’Amalfi, with regional president Vincenzo De Luca welcoming the first arrival. The company will expand connections on July 12 to Basel, Geneva, and Berlin, and on July 13 to London Gatwick. The summer season will see about 50,000 seats available for trips between Salerno and these destinations, offering three weekly frequencies to Malpensa and two to the international locations. EasyJet projects nearly 3 million seats in Campania for the season, with 50 routes to 13 countries. Over 25 years, easyJet has carried nearly 35 million passengers to and from Campania. The new Salerno airport terminal is set to open in 2026, spanning 16,000 square meters and meeting high environmental standards.

Luxury Travel Intelligence: Roma seconda al mondo per aperture di hotel extra lusso

🏡 Roma ranks second in the world for new luxury hotel openings, behind London, with a projected 30% increase in luxury rooms by 2025 and a doubling in the next five years. The Corinthia Rome, featuring 60 rooms and 21 suites, is set to open this year. Casa Monti by Leitmotiv, Orient Express, and Romeo Collection's Romeo Roma with 74 luxury rooms and suites are also launching. Nobu Hotel and Restaurant Roma, with 122 rooms including a 500 sqm suite, is yet to announce its opening date. By 2025, Grand Hotel Nazareno, Baccarat Hotel Rome, Thompson Rome by Hyatt, and Rosewood with 157 rooms and 44 suites will open. A Four Seasons hotel, representing over €500 million investment, is coming to Piazza San Silvestro. Mandarin Oriental's luxury complex, a €80 million investment, is due in 2026.

🏡 Hilton unveils DoubleTree by Hilton Nice Centre Iconic in Nice, joining Cannes and Montecarlo to complete its presence on the French Riviera. The lifestyle hotel features 105 stylishly decorated rooms, family rooms for up to five guests, a sea-view fitness center, and event space. Guests are greeted with a signature DoubleTree cookie and experience a unique check-in at the fifth floor offering panoramic views. The Iconic Bar and a soon-to-open rooftop restaurant, Pesca, with a "Fish Theatre" concept are part of the amenities. Hilton's senior vice president, David Kelly, highlights Nice's appeal due to its UNESCO World Heritage status and coastal environment. This is Hilton’s third property in the French Riviera following last year's openings of Canopy by Hilton Cannes and Columbus Hotel Monte-Carlo, Curio Collection by Hilton.

Monsieur Alain Ducasse, the chef with the most Michelin stars in the world [14], opened his first Ristorante Ducasse in Italy at the Romeo Hotel in Naples without featuring pasta, sushi, or pizza on the menu, as he inaugurated the restaurant on June 27 at the hotel's ninth floor, designed by Japanese architect Kenzo Tange in 2008. The menu, developed over three months, merges French cuisine with local Neapolitan ingredients and offers a 'Discovery' or 'Experience' set of five or six courses that blend the two culinary cultures.
