🛫 Lilium N.V., SEA Milan Airports, and Skyports signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a vertiport network for electric aircraft in Lombardy and Northern Italy. Lombardy, with a fifth of Italy's population and over 37 million visitors annually, aims to enhance mobility with faster, low-emission travel. The parties target to launch the vertiport network operated with Lilium Jet by 2027, starting with a route connecting Milano Malpensa Airport to central Milan. A joint venture company will be formed to manage the development and operation of these vertiports.
