Mare Italia troppo caro, è caccia alle mete alternative

  • ttgitalia
  • 9 Luglio 2024
🏖️ In summer 2024, Italian beach destinations face a 4.4% decrease in domestic tourists, with preferences shifting to Greece, Spain, and Albania. Despite economic uncertainty and a 7.9% price increase across the Italian coastal sector, Italy's overall tourism revenue sees a slight growth to €33.19 billion (+0.4%), supported by foreign visitors. Italian families still plan vacations (76.1% certainty), favoring the sea (two-thirds), but shorter stays are the new trend, with average durations down by 2.1 nights. Peak season shifts as August loses its allure due to high costs, with peak bookings from August 9-18 and a spread to shoulder months, maintaining a 10-day average vacation length.

Ita-Lufthansa, ecco come cresceranno i ricavi

  • ttgitalia
  • 8 Luglio 2024
💰 Ita Airways and Lufthansa could generate €200 million in new revenues after the first year of their agreement, as stated by Carsten Spohr, CEO of the German group. About €100 million may come from the cessation of codeshare agreements with Air France-KLM and American airlines due to negotiations initiated a year ago. An additional €150 million is expected from joining powerful commercial platforms overseas, with access to operators like United Airlines, Air Canada, Singapore Airlines, All Nippon Airways, and Air China, plus the Star Alliance network. Finally, economies of scale could bring another €50-100 million through discounts on air transport, maintenance, foreign handling, and catering via Lufthansa's central purchasing.

CartaOrange: come sono cambiati viaggi di nozze

  • l.alese@federturismo.it Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindus
  • 8 Luglio 2024
💍 Honey moon trips have evolved over a decade: shorter stays, luxury accommodations, and experiential travel are the new norm. Sea destinations feature in only 67% of trips, as couples often combine discovery with beach stays. The core age group is 25-39 years (73%), followed by 40-59 (22%) and over 59 (5%). Couples may travel with children (8%) or friends (5%). Top destinations include Asia (38%), Africa (21%), and North America (15%), with Italy favoring long-haul North American trips. Europe (10%) sees Iceland as a newcomer, while the Middle East (6%), led by Jordan's rise in 2023, and specifically Japan, show significant growth. Oceania accounts for 5%, Central America for 3%, and all of South America for 2%. Departures often occur weeks or months post-wedding, leading to winter trips to South America. Average spending has increased by 2% since 2023, with bookings made up to six months in advance. In early 2024, the United States, Peru, and Tanzania with Zanzibar are the leading destinations.
