Transportation services rebounded from a -2.2% decrease to a 0.4% increase, while recreational and cultural services remained stable at 3.8%. A significant monthly rise in transportation services hit 7.8%, with maritime transport surging 33.8% and passenger air travel 16.3%. The inflation differential between the general consumer price index (Nic) and the tourism index (Nict) grew to 3.5 percentage points, from 2.9 in July 2024. Tourism inflation for 2024 is projected at 4.9%. The highest regional tourism inflation rates were in Abruzzo and Liguria (both 6.5%), followed by Valle d'Aosta (5.8%), Puglia (5.6%), and Trentino Alto Adige (5.3%). The company expanded its workforce in the Triveneto, Piedmont, and Liguria regions, and strengthened its presence in Lombardy, Tuscany, Puglia, and Sicily, leading to a 59% increase in activated codes with travel agencies and tour operators year-over-year.
