🛡 Filcams Cgil Calabria launched an initiative last week to meet workers in the Calabrian tourism sector. The union aims to highlight precarious work conditions such as informal contracts, undeclared labor, exhausting shifts, low wages, and lack of safety, and to engage in constructive dialogue with regional institutions including the new Tourism assessor.

📒 BWH Hotels Italia & Malta and the Hospitality Innovation Academy (HIA) announce a partnership for hospitality training. The academy, founded by Giancarlo Carniani, offers a 2-year program in Italy at the WorldHotels Crafted Mulino in Florence followed by a third year in Montreux, Switzerland. Starting in October and ending in March, students undergo curricular internships from April to September with HIA's partner companies. Graduates can pursue the Term 4 at HIM Hotel Institute Montreux to earn a Swiss Higher Diploma. This partnership also provides targeted training modules for new hires, BWH hotel staff, and specific groups, such as Next Generation, General Managers, and Executive Staff. 🏦 Raffles Hotels & Resorts to open a new hotel in Tokyo by 2028. Located in Hamamatsucho district as part of Tokyo’s World Trade Center redevelopment, the establishment will feature 46 floors with 130 rooms, including 27 suites. Amenities include a fitness center, spa, swimming pool, six dining spaces, and over 3,700 square meters of meeting and event areas.
