Vienna regina della musica per i 200 anni di Strauss

🎶 Vienna celebrates the 200th birthday of Johann Strauss II throughout 2025. Events include a grand exhibition at the Theatre Museum (December 4 - June 23), Johann Strauss. New Dimension immersive experience, and birthday events on October 25. Isabella Rauter highlighted that 50 million viewers annually watch the New Year's Concert by the Vienna Philharmonic, and the city hosts an average of 10,000 visitors every night in its theaters. The celebrations feature ten entertainment genres across 23 districts.

Cathay Pacific presenta la sua nuova Aria Suite

✈ Cathay Pacific introduced the new Aria Suite Business class in the Boeing 777-300ER at an event in Hong Kong. The airline has planned a progressive implementation of new flight classes for regional and long-haul routes. Lavinia Lau, chief customer and commercial officer at Cathay Group, announced investment in aircraft, technology, and facilities, aiming to exceed expectations. Nearly 12 billion euros will be invested over the next seven years in the fleet, cabin products, lounges, and digital and sustainability leadership.

Fiavet: dietrofront di Air Thaiti sulla ‘zero commission’

✈ Fiavet secured a deal with Air Tahiti to overturn the 'zero commission' policy announced on October 1. The travel agents’ association negotiated a reinstatement of a 1% base commission, which can increase to 4% for agencies selling over 350 coupons annually. This change was formalized by Air Tahiti in a communication sent to Bsp (Billing and Settlement Plan) agents. Giuseppe Ciminnisi, Fiavet Confcommercio president, praised Air Tahiti's collaborative approach.

Air France-KLM: il debutto di Alexander Vervoort ‘Italia importante per noi’

🚀 Alexander Vervoort is the new Commercial Director for Italy and the East Mediterranean area at Air France-KLM. 🏦 Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, under Group Chief Executive Laurent Kleitman for a year, aims to double its portfolio in ten years; it now has 28 hotels/resorts and 18 developing residences. Focused on the Middle East, Japan, North America, and major European capitals, the expansion includes a trio of boutique hotels in Japan's Setouchi, restoration/rebranding of Budapest's historic Hotel Gellért, ten villas in Rome, a Bali southern coast resort, and a Riviera Maya resort in Mexico. A new app is launching next year for guest experience and privacy. Mandarin is globalizing its patisseries and introducing a holistic Wellness 2.0 concept.

Boeing verso l’accordo con i sindacati

✈ Boeing and its unions may reach a resolution tomorrow as over 30,000 workers vote on a proposed agreement featuring a 35% wage increase, bonuses, incentives, and enhanced pension contributions. The ongoing strike, lasting one and a half months, has cost Boeing approximately $2 billion, with the company facing $45 billion in debt. Despite the situation, Boeing plans to lay off 17,000 employees (10% of its workforce). Airbus also struggles, aiming to fulfill over 8,500 orders amid supply chain issues. Analysts reduced 2024 aircraft delivery estimates from 1,525 to just below 1,100, impacted by strikes and engine issues with Pratt & Whitney Gtf that require 300 days of downtime, potentially leading to higher ticket prices due to an aircraft shortage amidst rising demand.

Amex, a Natale viaggi per oltre metà degli italiani

🏕 Over half of Italians (57%) plan to travel during the upcoming Christmas holidays, according to the Amex Trendex report by American Express. Of those traveling, 61% will stay within Italy and 54% will go abroad. Approximately 70% will travel for pleasure or to visit friends and relatives, and 81% are willing to pay more for a comfortable experience. The average expenditure is 843 euros for travel and 525 euros for entertainment. Half of the travelers (50%) will be accompanied by family or partners. Entertainment events such as Christmas markets and festivities (59%) and shows (31%) are top activities for the holiday season.

Il Radisson Collection Hotel Santa Sofia e i dettagli di stile firmati da Vimar

🏡 In Milan, between the Duomo and Navigli, the 1960s office building of Allianz has been turned into the Radisson Collection Hotel Santa Sofia by architect Marco Piva. The luxury 5-star hotel preserves its trachyte façade and oxidized copper roof while featuring an urban-style interior with 159 rooms, including 130 standard, 28 junior suites, and 1 suite. The design incorporates a color palette of blues, red accents, and gray shades, with Vimar's Eikon Exé series installed throughout. Guests enjoy amenities such as a fourth-floor terrace with an outdoor pool and lounge bar, complete with Vimar's Plana series and Isoset IP55 containers for device charging.
