Il Wttc lancia la seconda edizione della Net Zero Roadmap for Travel & Tourism

✈️ At COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, the WTTC revealed a 27% increase over the past three years in travel and tourism companies setting climate goals, with 53% of the top 250 companies now committed, up from 42% in 2021. A third of these companies are dedicated to meeting Science-Based Targets (SBTi). The updated Net Zero Roadmap introduces an enhanced decarbonization framework. 75% of global travelers now want more sustainable travel options. The aviation sector achieved a 6% carbon intensity reduction from 2019, while the cruise and lodging sectors both saw an 11% reduction. Julia Simpson, President and CEO of WTTC, emphasizes the urgency of climate action in the industry.

Turismo dei territori: l’81% degli italiani pensa a un viaggio in inverno

🏖️ Feries reports that 61% of tourists prefer agritourism and 40% opt for holiday homes in Italy's rural tourism sector, as presented in Milan during the first edition of the General States of Territorial Tourism. Over 1,400 Italian and foreign tourists participated in the survey forecasting autumn/winter trends and 2025 tendencies. 81% of Italians plan to travel in the coming months, with 15% already booked, compared to 74% of foreigners with 27% booked. Italy remains a top destination for 74% of Italians and 53% of foreigners. Villages are the most sought-after experience by 68% of Italians and 77% of international tourists. The upcoming year indicates a spread of travel throughout the seasons, with 54% of Italians favoring summer but 45% showing increased interest in spring. Italy continues to be the preferred destination for both Italians (57%) and international travelers, despite a strong desire to travel across Europe (42%).

The Social Hub cerca 50 figure per la nuova apertura a Roma San Lorenzo

📌 The Social Hub's Casting Day, set for December 9, aims to hire 50 individuals for the new Roma San Lorenzo facility opening in February. Mama Shelter, lo sviluppo: ecco le new entry

🏡 Mama Shelter's Italian second facility on Lake Como is part of Ennismore's expansion plans, which include new openings for 2025 and 2026, following the inauguration of Mama Shelter Dubai on December 15. In Asia, Mama Shelter Singapore, the group's 20th property with 110 rooms, is set to debut, featuring a restaurant and rooftop pool. Mama Shelter Zurich will open in mid-2025 in Switzerland, offering over 170 rooms, a restaurant, a rooftop, and 550 sqm of meeting space. The 2026 openings will see Mama Shelter Cape Town introducing Mama Play, a 742 sqm recreational area, with the hotel boasting 120 rooms, 213 sqm of meeting space, a gym, and a rooftop restaurant. Mama Shelter Downtown LA and Mama Shelter Medellín, with over 140 rooms and 150 rooms respectively, are also scheduled to open in 2026. Lastly, Mama Shelter Casablanca will launch with over 90 rooms and 49 apartments, featuring the city's longest pool, a rooftop lounge, a 140 sqm meeting room, multiple dining options, and a fitness room.

Sciopero generale 29 novembre: escluso il trasporto ferroviario
