Professione Mystery Guest: facciamo chiarezza

  • marketing@hospite.it
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
🔎 The mystery guest profession originated in the 1940s in the United States for monitoring retail performance and has gained popularity in Europe and Italy in recent decades. The Italian standard UNI 11312-1:2017 outlines guidelines for covert auditing, while UNI 11312-2:2022 defines the competencies of professionals. Despite no official registry for mystery guests in Italy, the role is often part-time, with the potential for substantial but not full-time earnings. Hospite's Academy started in spring 2020, emphasizing ethical engagement without guaranteeing future employment. Co-founders Michele Prete and Nicola Bolzan have authored a book on the profession.

I trend che caratterizzeranno il business della ristorazione nel 2025

  • Roberto Dessi
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
🍴 Italy has over 330,000 food service establishments, facing a slight decline due to intense market competition. In 2025, consumer trends in the Italian restaurant market emphasize healthy, plant-based but original dishes, including international flavors like sweet-sour, spicy, or fermented. Google searches by the end of 2024 showed a surge in interest for ramen and gourmet coffee. The demand for local, sustainable, and cost-effective ingredients is rising, notably among Generation Z. Personalized gastronomic experiences are becoming more popular, encouraging restaurants to track customer habits for tailored marketing strategies. The European statistical institute EURES highlights a persistent staff shortage in the industry, suggesting technology, such as self-order systems, to alleviate workload and improve customer satisfaction. FIPE's annual report notes that Italian restaurateurs are investing more in technology—55% in advanced cash register software, 31% in management systems, and tools for online reservations and digital menus. By 2026, a legislative change will require electronic payment terminals (POS) to connect with fiscal registers to aid anti-evasion checks by Italy's Revenue Agency, impacting hardware and software in the sector.

  • Luca Aldovini
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
🍴 ERP systems in the restaurant sector manage orders, inventory, finances, and sales analysis to optimize daily operations and improve overall efficiency. Medium and large restaurants, particularly those with multiple locations or high transaction volumes, as well as growing businesses and event/catering companies, benefit from ERP adoption. Proper implementation of an ERP system can result in significant operational and strategic improvements for restaurants, reducing errors, managing staff, and enhancing customer feedback.

Uk, cosa è cambiato dalla Brexit

  • Tony Loeb
  • 28 Gennaio 2025
💰 Gran Bretagna exited the EU five years ago at the end of January. "The Brexit Files" report by 'Uk in a changing Europe' reveals mixed outcomes. Brexit is estimated to reduce long-term import and export volumes by 15%. The negative impact on GDP could exceed 5%, influenced by inflation and rising energy costs. The UK maintains strength in financial services but weakens in manufacturing, with a positive trend in service trade and a slight decline in goods trade. The UK's economy has declined compared to pre-Brexit and pre-pandemic levels, similar to other major European economies. However, IMF forecasts UK growth at 1.5% in 2025 and 1.6% in 2026, above the Eurozone and countries like Italy.
