🛫 European aviation giants are unable to compete on routes connecting Europe to China, leading to a market share for Chinese carriers soaring from 55% in 2018 to 82%. The European carriers are hampered by a Russian airspace ban, resulting in approximately two extra hours of flight time and higher fuel costs. The demand remains high, with a 15% capacity increase to 10,000 flights, benefiting Chinese companies. Iberia has not flown to Shanghai since 2020.

New venues include Hilton Turin City Centre, Italy's first Hilton Hotels & Resorts in Turin, Conrad Athens The Ilisian in Greece with a unique outdoor running track, Tapestry Collection's debut in Northern Ireland with Marcus Hotel Portrush, Curio Collection's Palacio Bellas Artes Hotel San Sebastián in Spain known for its Michelin-rich gastronomy, Canopy by Hilton Istanbul Taksim marking the brand's entry into Turkey, Signia by Hilton's international debut in Amman, Jordan, Canopy by Hilton Cape Town Longkloof in South Africa, Hilton's first property in Ghana with Hilton Accra Cantonments, Curio Collection's KROMO Bangkok in Thailand, Waldorf Astoria Osaka in Japan, Delfins Beach Resort Bonaire in the Caribbean being Hilton's first on the island, and Waldorf Astoria Costa Rica Punta Cacique. The Waldorf Astoria New York restoration is led by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill architects and designer Pierre-Yves Rochon, maintaining its Art Deco grandeur with 375 private residences above the hotel.

📈 Veratour reported a revenue growth of 5-8% in 2024, despite challenges in the Red Sea. African Explorer and World Explorer slightly increased their volumes from the previous year. Quality Group saw positive results in 2024, driven by interest in long and medium-haul journeys, with expectations of continued growth into 2025. Kuda's revenue is projected to grow by 7-9%. Kel 12 achieved a 30% revenue increase, according to CEO Gianluca Rubino. Idee per Viaggiare expects significant growth in requests and conversion rates by year-end, with an increased average cost per transaction. Naar's General Manager, Luca Battifora, forecasts an 11% revenue growth. Go World CEO Ludovico Scortichini notes good closing projections despite a slow New Year's performance. King Holidays reported a recovery in group travel, with a 40% increase in long-haul destinations. Mappamondo saw a 10% year-on-year revenue growth in 2024, with an increase in passenger numbers and profitability. Alidays met expectations, as stated by CEO Davide Catania.
