🍷 The Consorzio Morellino di Scansano has introduced VINOMETRO on the VisitMorellino portal, an innovative, free tool for promoting safe and balanced wine tourism experiences. Created by Enoturistica of Simone Nannipieri, VINOMETRO is based on the Widmark method, calculates real-time potential Blood Alcohol Content (BAC), and provides a Quality Score for overall tasting safety. It considers variables such as number of wines, consumed quantities, food pairings, and duration of the experience. Bernardo Guicciardini Calamai, president of the Consorzio, emphasizes the mission to promote Morellino di Scansano territory and excellence responsibly. VINOMETRO is available at www.visitmorellino.com/vinometro.

Slow Wine Fair 2025. La Campania protagonista

🍷 Campania featured at the 4th Slow Wine Fair in Bologna from February 23-25, 2025, with approximately 1,200 exhibitors from 30 countries and all Italian regions focusing on sustainable packaging and logistics. The event coincides with SANA Food, promoting healthy eating. Post-2022 drought, Campania saw a 50% production loss in 2023 due to peronospora affecting mainly red grape varieties. Despite representing only 3% of national denomination wine production, Campania's quality has grown, with 102 wineries reviewed in 2025. The fair also includes the Amaro d'Italia with 26 Italian producers and a masterclass on old vines on February 23.

🍺 Aceto 32 by 32 Via dei Birrai, a craft brewery established in 2006 in Veneto by Loreno Michielin, Fabiano Toffoli, and Alessandro Zilli, is a beer vinegar with a 5% acetic acid content. It's created using the slow, natural "static" acetification process over 7-8 months without pasteurization or filtering, by 32 Via dei Birrai and a partnering organic and biodynamic acetaia in Modena. Aceto 32 boasts citrusy and fruity nuances and is packaged in a 25 cl orange bottle with a spray pump.

Haribo presenta l'edizione limitata a tema Harry Potter

Flavors include cola, lemon, apple, cherry, and new cotton candy and caramel. Available in 80g (€1.50*), 160g (€1.95*), and 570g (€9.59*) packs, the collection is sold in retail stores, travel retail, participating candy shops, and on Amazon starting February until stocks last. Simone Pretti vince la quinta edizione di Stella Artois Draught Masters Italia

🍺 Simone Pretti from Bar Centrale in Pellizzano, TN, won the fifth Stella Artois Draught Masters Italia on February 17. The event occurred at the Beer&Food Attraction at the Fiera di Rimini, recognizing Italy's best beer pourer. Pretti excelled in pouring three 40cl glasses in three minutes and three 20cl Stella Artois glasses. Judges included Tom Robberechts, Allaine Schaiko, and previous contest winner XiaoXiao Yang. AB InBev, with its premium brand Stella Artois, organized the competition, featuring initiatives from brands like Corona Cero, highlighting responsible consumption.

The interior was designed by architect Guglielmo Rubino, reflecting a contemporary style with traditional Neapolitan elements.

🍫 On February 15 in Maglie, Lecce, the 23rd "Premio Tavoletta d’Oro" took place, organized by "Compagnia del Cioccolato" during "I Cioccolati del Mediterraneo." "La Perla di Torino" won three "Cioccolato d’Eccellenza" awards, including for Tavoletta Cioccolato Finissimo al Latte, Tavoletta Puro Latte, and Crema Spalmabile La Perla Scura. "Compagnia del Cioccolato," founded in 1995, has over 1000 members and 250 official tasters. Out of 1300 Italian chocolate references, 95 products reached the final phase of the 2025 edition.

Vino, UIV: boom dell’export negli USA per timore dei dazi

🍷 Italian wine exports surged by 20% in volume and 21% in value during the last two months of 2024 compared to the same period of the previous year, driven by potential U.S. tariffs. Overall, 2024 saw a growth of 10% in value, exceeding €1.9 billion. In December, bottled still wines outpaced the average with a 21% volume increase and a 34% value boost. Internal U.S. consumption, however, has been declining for two consecutive years, with a 7% volume decrease and Italy specifically seeing a 4.4% drop.
