GetYourGuide: aumenta l’importanza delle recensioni per la scelta delle destinazioni

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 12 Maggio 2025
📝 According to the Spring edition of GetYourGuide's Travel Experience Trend Tracker, online reviews significantly impact consumer choices and industry performance, with 90% of users consulting reviews before booking. Specifically, 91% of 18-34-year-olds trust reviews as much as word-of-mouth recommendations. A jump from 3 to 4 stars increases the likelihood of an activity being booked by 40%. An experience with at least 15 reviews typically gets ten times more bookings than one without feedback. Cultural differences emerge, with French and Spanish travelers sensitive to language barriers and Americans to organizational issues. A common thread among tourists worldwide is seeking value over the lowest price, with 40% of American adults avoiding overly crowded destinations, especially museums.

Sabre/Travelweekly: nel primo trimestre 2025 le prenotazioni aeree calano del 3%, ma con previsioni di crescita

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 12 Maggio 2025
🛫 Sabre experienced a 3% decline in air bookings in the first quarter, deviating from initial stability estimates. The slump was attributed to global booking weakness, affecting both corporate and leisure sectors. Notably, there was a decrease in inbound travel to the USA from Canada and some European markets, group bookings from Northern Asia, and a significant 30 percentage point drop in bookings from US military and government personnel, partly due to staffing cuts by the Trump administration. Despite this, Sabre maintains a forecast of double-digit growth for the full year.

TtgItalia: la stagione estiva è rallentata dall’incremento dei ponti primaverili

  • Laura Alese - Federturismo Confindustria
  • 12 Maggio 2025
🏑 TTG Italy reports a slow travel season, with high departure concentration early this month. Summer 2023 booking was impacted by a successful first four months. Key issues include geopolitical situations, global macroeconomic factors, and travel cost increases, especially airfares. Agencies find flight supply below demand, leading to higher prices and influencing vacation destination choices. Preferred destinations are short to medium haul due to costs. Egypt and cruises are thriving; Italy and Greece remain strong, while Spain, particularly the Balearics, sees a decline. Long haul, the United States and Japan remain popular, with Japan being a top destination in 2025.
