Flixbus, in fase di test in Italia il carburante vegetale

🚌 Flixbus in Italy launched a pilot project testing alternative fuels with HVO, a hydrogenated vegetable biofuel made from waste products, aiming to reduce environmental impact. The test compares the performance of HVO-fueled buses with traditional diesel ones. Five pairs of buses on different lines in Italy, each pair having one HVO and one diesel bus, are involved. Telemetry devices are used to collect and compare fuel consumption data. Results so far show a tie in consumption between the fuels. The outcomes will guide FlixBus and its partners towards potentially scaling HVO use, aligning with the goal of reducing environmental impact.
