Ponant sceglie Starlink per il wifi

🌎 Ponant has equipped its entire fleet with Starlink internet provided by Marlink, enhancing global guest wifi access. “Le Commandant Charcot” was the first to test Starlink antennas at the North Pole, as part of Ponant's commitment to offer the best connectivity even in remote areas. Starlink improves bandwidth and geographic coverage beyond the main geostationary satellite-managed Vsat network.

🏖 The European Court of Justice ruled that non-removable structures built on beaches can be acquired for free by the Italian State at the end of a concession, siding with the Italian State over Società Italiana Imprese Balneari (SIIB) operating in Rosignano Marittimo. This ruling, reported by Sole 24Ore, does not restrict the freedom of establishment and affects all businesses considering the economic viability of applying for beach concessions, knowing they could lose their investments at concession's end. National judges must comply with this binding decision.

🛫 In Europe, June flight cancellations rose by 46%, with 8,145 flights canceled, up from 5,584 in May 2024. Globally, Saudia led with 88.22% punctuality, while last month's leader Aeromexico fell to second place. On-time is defined by Cirium as within 15 minutes of scheduled arrival.

Ryanair in Calabria: 15 le nuove rotte Ecco lo schedule

✈ Ryanair has announced an enhancement of its service in Calabria following the removal of a municipal surcharge by the region. For the winter schedule, Calabrian airports will see an addition of 11 new routes compared to last year: 7 from Reggio Calabria to London, Brussels, Paris, Frankfurt, Katowice, Milan, and Pisa; flights from Lamezia to Brussels and Tirana; and from Crotone to Milan and Treviso. The summer schedule of 2025 will add 4 more routes to Lamezia, increasing Ryanair's offer by 50% to a total of 29 routes.

Crociere a Venezia, firmato il preliminare d’acquisto per la nuova stazione marittima

🚢 In Porto Marghera, Venice, a preliminary contract has been signed for a new maritime station. The location spans over 10 hectares, acquired for about €16 million. Starting in the 2027 cruise season, two temporary berths will be available for ships up to 300 meters long. By the 2028 season, a new 12,000 sqm passenger terminal with renewable energy systems and modern facilities, including baggage claim areas, will be operational.
