WTTC: nonostante una forte ripresa del turismo, per le donne e i giovani le condizioni di lavoro rimangono difficili
🏖 Nearly 70 million tourism workers lost jobs during the pandemic, with women and youth hit hardest. By 2022, the sector employed 42 million women (-13% from 2019's 48.4 million) and over 16 million youth (-15% from 19 million in 2019). In 2023, the travel and tourism sector's contribution to GDP increased by 29.1% over pre-Covid levels, exceeding the global average by 4.1%. Yet, women and youth are more likely to be in informal, part-time, or low-wage roles, lacking security or growth potential.
