💸 Eridania, Amaro Lucano, and De Nigris 1889 are honored by the Italian Ministry with themed stamps celebrating "Excellences of the economic and productive system". These stamps, issued by the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato and distributed by Poste Italiane, feature iconic elements of the 11 recognized companies. The Eridania stamp marks its 125th anniversary, with a print run of 250,020 stamps worth €1.25 each, released on October 17. De Nigris celebrates 135 years with a commemorative stamp. Eridania is the sector leader in Italy, boasting a 30% market share and €354 million in revenue, powered by 200 employees and a packaging facility that handles 130 million kilograms of sugar annually.

🍸 The Between the Sheets cocktail was possibly created by Harry MacElhone at Harry's New York Bar in Paris or by Mr. Polly at the Berkeley Hotel in London, 1921. It gained popularity with its 1930 recipe publication in "The Savoy cocktail book" by Harry Craddock. It experienced declining popularity from the 1970s until the early 2000s but was reintroduced to the IBA's list in 2011. The cocktail's alcohol content is approximately 25.6% vol. The IBA recipe includes 30 ml each of clear rum, cognac, triple sec, and 20 ml fresh lemon juice. Celebrated by the Isley Brothers in their 1983 song, it was favored by Italian writer-director Mario Soldati and actor John Wayne.

Citterio apre un nuovo stabilimento produttivo in Toscana

🍖 Citterio, an Italian cured meats company, recorded a €600 million turnover in 2023, a 4.4% increase from 2022. They invested €16 million in a new 28,000 sqm facility in Monte San Savino, Arezzo, Tuscany, which will create 30-40 jobs and has an annual production capacity of 200,000 Tuscan DOP hams. The site features photovoltaic panels producing 400,000kWh of energy, saving approximately 265 tons of CO2 annually. Over 330,000 Tuscan DOP hams were branded in Italy in 2023, with a 6% production growth from the previous year.

Using the ConnectedCooking app, users can monitor the iCombi Pro's cleaning status, create custom cleaning programs, and ensure food safety with features like intelligent cooking paths and integrated temperature probes that track and transmit HACCP data during cooking, viewable for up to six months.
