L'export dell'industria alimentare italiana sfreccia verso i 57 miliardi

🍕 Italy's agri-food exports from January to July 2024 increased by 9.3%, potentially reaching a new record by the end of the year. In 2023, the food industry export was €52.2 billion, and by the end of 2024, it's projected to hit €57 billion. Combined with the primary sector's (agriculture) expected €11 billion, the total could reach €68 billion, nearing the €70 billion mark. The United States showed a significant increase, with exports worth €4.4 billion, a 19.7% rise from the same period in 2023, while Germany led with €4.6 billion, a 5.3% increase.

La Famiglia Carpenè annuncia la scomparsa di Etile Carpenè

🖤 Etile Carpenè, a prominent figure in the wine industry and the fourth generation of Italy's oldest sparkling wine house, passed away on October 23, 2024, at the age of 80 in Conegliano. He was lauded for his dedication to Prosecco and the land, and for spearheading the family business, Carpenè-Malvolti, into global prominence. Etile, who held degrees from the University of Ferrara and specialized in Enology from Bordeaux, also served as President of the Istituto Metodo Classico and held positions in Federvini and the Prosecco Consortium. His daughter, Rosanna Carpenè, now leads the family business. A memorial service is scheduled for October 26 at the Chiesa Parrocchiale dei Santi Martino e Rosa in Conegliano.

Casa Optima School inaugura una nuova sede in Portogallo

🍨 Casa Optima School, a school for making "true Italian artisanal ice cream," inaugurated its first Portuguese branch in Vilamoura - Quarteira, Algarve, on October 8, in partnership with Sulcones, MEC3 distributor for Portugal. The school features a facility with 6 fully equipped individual workstations for the 'one to one' method. The inauguration was attended by Quarteira Mayor Telmo Pinto, journalists, and clients who previewed trendy flavors and Salty Creations, MEC3's savory ice cream line. The first course, ABC del Gelato, was held from October 9-11, with plans for more courses throughout 2025. Lessons are offered in Portuguese by Alessandro Iacono, a Product Specialist at Casa Optima, and Ricardo Mendonça, a Sulcones technician.
