Caffè Borbone presenta Miscela Oro in capsula compostabile

☕ Caffè Borbone introduced Miscela Oro Don Carlo capsules, compatible with Lavazza® A Modo Mio® machines and compostable, certified by the Italian Composting Consortium (CIC). The capsules, made of biopolymer with a paper filter top, are part of the company's sustainability efforts, which include using FSC® certified paper from responsibly managed forests for packaging. CEO Marco Schiavon emphasizes the company's commitment to reducing its environmental impact. Caffè Borbone has been awarded the Gold Medal in the EcoVadis Sustainability Rating. 🍻 Yamanashi Meijo’s Shichiken, founded in 1750, partners with Chef Alain Ducasse for exclusive one-night dinners starting in Tokyo on October 22, 2024. The tour spans seven cities across Thailand, Italy, Monaco, France, the UK, and the US. On October 29, 2024, the event is at Alain Ducasse Restaurant in Naples, Italy. Executive Chef Alessandro Lucassino ensures dishes reflect Neapolitan flavors, with a cellar of over 16,000 bottles from 1,500 international brands. A special menu cover designed by INDEN-YA, founded in 1582, features on the menu. Ducasse and Shichiken share values of sustainability and traditional sake craftsmanship, presenting the Alain Ducasse Sparkling Sake and Sustainable Spirits.

The spirit lacks an official production regulation, which leads to market confusion, with some products made with artificial colors and without natural herbs. European directive limits thujone to 10 mg/kg in liquors and 35 mg/kg in distilled absinthe. In Milan, Norah Was Drunk spearheaded the absinthe revival, offering a cocktail menu with the "Green Fairy". On October 24, the bar introduced a new drink menu with creative cocktails, pictograms indicating glass type and alcohol strength, and a mini cocktail option at 40% off. The menu includes a selection of Italian, French, and Swiss absinthes (10-14 euros), with authentic absinthe having an alcohol content between 45-70 degrees, distilled, and without added sugar.

Va in scena questo weekend la prima edizione di CMB Wine Experience Milano

🍷 The first edition of CMB Wine Experience Milano will be held on October 26-27 at the Chiostri di San Barnaba in Milan, featuring over 100 wineries and 200 unique wines not available through large distribution or e-commerce. Italy, winning 15 Grand Gold medals, dominated the last Concours Mondial de Bruxelles. Tickets are €20 for one day, €35 for two days, or €15 for sommeliers. Masterclasses scheduled on sparkling, white, rosé, and red wines. Pre-registration is required at info@mi-it.it with 30 spots per class.

La San Marco svela E.LUXURY a TriestEspresso Expo

☕ La San Marco presents its latest espresso machine, E.LUXURY, at TriestEspresso Expo until October 26. The machine features 1 cm thick tempered glass, multicolor LED technology, and advanced MBV (multiboiler with pressure and temperature profiling) technology. E.LUXURY is available in 2 and 3 group versions and introduces the Low Effort Leva (LEL) and Quick Discharge System (QDS) technologies. Additionally, latte art champion Salvatore Riunno will host a workshop on October 25 at 13:00.

Triestespresso Expo, al via l'undicesima edizione

☕ The 11th edition of Triestespresso Expo, the world-exclusive fair dedicated to espresso, opened on October 24 and runs until October 26 at the Generali Convention Center in Trieste's Porto Vecchio - Porto Vivo. The biennial event features participants from 48 countries, reinforcing its position as a key industry touchpoint. Organized by the Venezia Giulia Chamber of Commerce and its in-house company Aries Scarl, the expo includes a collaboration with the Associazione Caffè Trieste and support from the Municipality of Trieste. Italy consumes 95 million cups of espresso daily. The first day of the expo started with a focus on the EU's impending European Deforestation-free products Regulation (Eudr).
