Italian food lovers are categorized into four profiles: Puristi, focused on self-care diet (39%) and clean eating (66%); Edonisti, who enjoy late-night snacks (33%) and celebrate daily rituals with quality ingredients like superfoods (34%); Sentinelle, defenders of authentic, minimalist cooking (43%), and light, sustainable food choices (52%); and Seguaci, the youngest, influenced by pop culture with only 6% involvement but growing interest. Cooker Girl, Aurora Cavallo, created a special menu reflecting these profiles, available for home delivery through Just Eat. Active since 2011, Just Eat operates with over 28,000 partners in more than 2,000 Italian municipalities, offering a broad selection of cuisines and products.

"Spirit of Savoia": l’iniziativa per reinventare i cocktail classici con i vini aperitivi Savoia

Surgelati: cresce il consumo tra giovani e famiglie in Italia

🍪 In Italy, 90% consume frozen foods, with 39.3% increasing their intake over five years, especially among men (43%), Gen Z (50%), Millennials (45%), and families with children (48%). The IIAS-AstraRicerche survey shows 68.4% know the difference between "congelato" and "surgelato" and 64.5% recognize that freezing at home isn't the same as industrial flash-freezing. However, only 31% are aware that by law, frozen products must be pre-packaged, and 59.9% don't know they're preservative-free. Among Italians, 86.4% follow label instructions, indicating heightened food quality and safety awareness. Data is from April 2024 surveys of 1,000 Italians aged 18-75 by AstraRicerche.

Mimmo Galasso è il vincitore del Vera Pizza Contest 2024

🍕 AVPN celebrated its 40th year in 2024 with the Vera Pizza Contest, involving over 1500 pizzaioli from worldwide. The contest had 1570 pizza submissions, but only 765 met the criteria. Winner Mimmo Galasso received a 9-day AVPN School course. The final took place in Naples on November 19-20, judged by Francesca Romana Barberini, Emanuela Sorrentino, and Stefano Di Filippo. Sponsors included Molino Caputo, Effeuno, Gimetal, Olitalia, and Pagnossin. The Best AVPN Pizzeria contest reached a record 59 countries, with first-time entries from Qatar and the Philippines. Voting opened on November 22 and closed on December 5, with the winner to be honored at Sigep 2025 in Rimini, January 18-23.
