Compagnie aeree e sostenibilità: prima è Air France

📊 Only 13% of airlines have a plan for green transition and sustainable fuel use, as per a study by Transport&Environment. Air France-Klm, United Airlines, and Norwegian lead the sustainability efforts among 77 evaluated airlines. In 2023, airlines consumed 2.6 million barrels of alternative fuels, just 0.15% of total sector fuel use, while fossil kerosene usage exceeded 1.6 billion barrels. By 2030, North American airlines are expected to use 2.7% sustainable fuels, surpassing Europe's 1.3%.

Il Barometro UN Tourism: pieno recupero a fine 2024

🏕 By the end of 2024, the planet will have fully recovered from the Covid-induced crisis, with tourism numbers hitting 1.1 billion in the first nine months, equating to 98% of pre-pandemic levels. Italy showcased double-digit growth in tourism revenue compared to pre-Covid earnings. The UN Tourism Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili highlighted the positive impact on jobs and small businesses. The Middle East leads growth with a 29% increase in arrivals, while Qatar saw a 141% jump compared to 2019. Japan topped the list with a 59% rise in tourism revenue for 2023, followed by Turkey at 41% and France at 27%. The UK, Canada, and Australia also reported significant gains in the first half of 2024, with the US seeing a 7% increase from January to September.

🎵 Msc Crociere partners with Sky Original's XFactor to transform Msc Lirica into ‘La nave di X Factor’ starting from the 2024 season. Msc Lirica will feature the cast of the latest season and host 11 music evenings, starting January 2025, with talent contestants performing weekly at the Broadway theater.
