Last week, Tamburi Investment Partners (TIP) raised their stake in the tour operator to 94.661%. The acquisition cost roughly €200 million, with Alpitour's revenue reported at €2.1 billion, a 7% increase from the previous year. Estimates suggest a 15-20% increase in economic and financial prospects for the current year and beyond, with the group's 27 hotels valued at €900 million. This move intensifies the battle for Alpitour, with MSC potentially aiming for 100% ownership, including the acquisition of Neos.

Nel 2024 Bed&and&Breakfast.it segna un boom di prenotazioni e trend di viaggio

🏠 Bed-and-Breakfast.it, an Italian booking portal recognized by INAPP, surpassed 10,000 properties in 2024, handling over 280,000 contacts including stay requests and direct bookings. Peak booking period was May 30 to August 13, 2024. Unlike OTAs charging 20-30% commission, it offers fixed-rate, commission-free bookings. Lazio, Emilia-Romagna, and Tuscany were top destinations in 2024; couples made up 61% of bookings, with 25-35-year-olds being the most represented age group. Over 10,300 contacts recorded in January 2025 indicate a continued preference for simple, genuine holidays.

📊 The 16th edition of the Osservatorio Immagino by GS1 Italy revealed that 102,567 products monitored are also available on e-commerce platforms and Amazon. In the year ending June 2024, e-commerce sales reached €1.2 billion versus €47.7 billion in physical supermarkets and hypermarkets. Online sales of "rich-in" and "free-from" products (like lactose-free or gluten-free) made up 28% more than physical stores, while "lifestyle" and "Corporate Social Responsibility" products had a similar 27% higher share online. Italian products like DOP slightly exceeded average online presence by 3%, with "free-from" goods at a 99% index. EmergenteSala: i nuovi talenti del servizio di sala in sfida nella capitale

🍴 The "EMERGENTE" series resumed in 2025 with "EMERGENTESALA," an event focused on "Servizio di Sala" in Italy. The Northern Selection took place in Bolzano and Merano during the Merano Wine Festival, selecting four finalists: Elisa Agarinis, Manuel Cossu, Lorenzo Durando, and Francesco Mario Passaretti. The event continued with the Central-South Selection to pick four more finalists. The iconic "Cena di gara" will be held on February 2 at Villa Agrippina Gran Melià in Rome. Eight finalists from both selections will compete in the 2025 finale on April 28-29 in Monza, at Hotel De la Ville and Villa Reale.
