I tesori enologici delle Donne del Vino di Toscana e Lazio in degustazione

🍷 On February 13, 2025, from 8:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Florence's Grand Hotel Mediterraneo will host an exclusive wine event featuring Donne del Vino (Women of Wine) with a tasting of 14 labels from native vines of Tuscany and Lazio. The tasting, led by renowned sommelier Massimo Castellani, will include Sangiovese-dominant Tuscan labels and native Lazio varieties like Cesanese del Piglio. Stefania Saccardi, Vice President of the Tuscany Region, will be the special guest. Bolton e Banco Alimentare insieme contro lo spreco alimentare

📦 Bolton's Business Unit Food collaborates with Banco Alimentare since 2011 to reduce food waste and provide easy access to proteins for those in need. Despite a drop in food price inflation to +2.2% in 2024, over 2.2 million families, 5.7 million individuals, and 1.3 million minors live in absolute poverty in Italy. Bolton donated surplus production from brands Rio Mare and Simmenthal to Banco Alimentare's locations in Lazio and Lombardy, reaching 61,474 beneficiaries through 281 partners and 158,991 beneficiaries via 887 charitable facilities, saving over 27 million grams of protein in 2024. Bolton Food leads the market with integrated tuna supply chain management, 10 production plants, and 11 fishing vessels, aiming for global leadership by promoting sustainable fishing practices and supporting local communities.

The potential loss equates to a 15% decrease from last year's performance, mirroring France's 24% sales drop due to 25% tariffs in mid-2020 to early 2021. US is the top market for Italian wine, accounting for 24% of Italy's wine exports, totaling €1.9 billion in 2024. If tariffs are imposed, exports may fall below €1.7 billion in 2025, reverting to 2021 levels.
