🍸 The "Naked and Famous" cocktail was created in 2011 by Joaquín Simó, an Ecuadorian-born bartender raised in Miami. The drink is a blend of mezcal, yellow Chartreuse, Aperol, and lime juice in equal parts (22.5 ml each). It was inspired by the "Last Word" and "Paper Plane" cocktails and became famous after its inclusion in the "Death & Co cocktail book" in 2014. The International Bartenders Association (Iba) listed it as an official cocktail in 2020. The name comes from a Tricky song "Tricky Kid" from his 1996 album "Pre-Millennium Tension." Variants suggest using different mezcals, raicilla, sotol, ron artesanal, sol tarsco, distilled grape, or grappa, and alternative options for Aperol and yellow Chartreuse.
