Verona, chiusure straordinarie per l’Arena e la Casa di Giulietta

🎭 In Verona, the Arena and Casa di Giulietta will temporarily close due to additional renovation works and extraordinary maintenance, respectively. Arena visits will be restricted to groups of 25 until March 31, with free entry and refunds for tickets already purchased online. From April 1-18, the Arena closes entirely for preparations for the 2025 lyrical and extra-lyrical season starting May 10. Casa di Giulietta closes on specific dates due to roof damage: now until March 26, March 31-April 2, and May 19-22, with partial accessibility from April 3 to May 18. Weather may affect the schedule, with updates on the Musei Civici website.

Organized by the EU Commission and IFOAM Organics Europe, these awards cover multiple categories, including best organic farmer and city. Small and medium-sized restaurants and catering services employing less than 250 people, with a maximum annual turnover of €50 million or balance sheet below €43 million, using 100% certified organic products can apply by 27 April 2025. Winners will be announced on 23 September 2025 in Brussels during the European Organic Day.

Roma, addio a Mizzi dello storico Banana Republic

🎶 Massimiliano Benedetti, known as "Mizzi," passed away from a heart attack at 58 on March 21, 2023. Mizzi was a co-founder of the historic Banana Republic pub in Rome's Prati district, established in 1993 alongside siblings Alessandro "Brambro" and Valentina "Titti." The pub stood out for its real cuisine and diverse drink selection. In 2007, Paolo Sanna joined as a partner, transforming the pub into a cocktail bar renowned for its "Perfect Italian Style" drinks and food, blending traditional Italian dishes with international influences. The Banana Republic remained open following Mizzi's death, signaling the continuation of its legacy.
