🌧 Alerta roja issued for La Palma and Tenerife due to storm Nuria, causing hurricane-level winds and torrential rains. Eastern La Palma faces winds up to 130 km/h, western part on orange alert with winds up to 100 km/h. Other islands including Gran Canaria, La Gomera, and El Hierro face extreme weather. Rain could accumulate up to 20 liters per square meter, risk of landslides and flooding. Coastal areas expect marine gusts of 50-74 km/h and waves up to 5 meters high. Seven autonomous communities in mainland Spain under yellow alert, with strong rains in Madrid and Castile, and intense winds in Navarra and the Basque Country. Balearic Islands also on yellow alert, with up to 3-meter waves forecasted for Majorca and Alicante. Interior regions could receive up to 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours, with 70 km/h gusts in northern and mountainous areas.
