🌧 Alerta roja issued for La Palma and Tenerife due to storm Nuria, causing hurricane-level winds and torrential rains. Eastern La Palma faces winds up to 130 km/h, western part on orange alert with winds up to 100 km/h. Other islands including Gran Canaria, La Gomera, and El Hierro face extreme weather. Rain could accumulate up to 20 liters per square meter, risk of landslides and flooding. Coastal areas expect marine gusts of 50-74 km/h and waves up to 5 meters high. Seven autonomous communities in mainland Spain under yellow alert, with strong rains in Madrid and Castile, and intense winds in Navarra and the Basque Country. Balearic Islands also on yellow alert, with up to 3-meter waves forecasted for Majorca and Alicante. Interior regions could receive up to 40 liters per square meter in 12 hours, with 70 km/h gusts in northern and mountainous areas.

easyJet: a Linate un balzo in avanti pari al 145%

🏩 easyJet increased its capacity by 145% at Milan Linate with a second base, complementing Milan Malpensa. The base includes 5 aircraft, 22 routes (17 new), and 120 employees. EasyJet leads at Sea Milan Airports with efficient narrowbody aircraft at Linate, limited to 18 movements per hour.

Iberia lancia una nuova politica per la distribuzione

✈ Iberia, a major airline, implements significant policy changes for travel agencies, focusing on accelerating the transition to NDC (New Distribution Capability). As of today, base fares will exclusively be sold through NDC channels, affecting all European countries (except the UK) plus the US, Brazil, Colombia, Uruguay, El Salvador, and Guatemala. Additionally, short and medium-haul tourist products will now have different offerings between NDC and traditional GDS (Global Distribution Systems), with NDC providing exclusive benefits such as discounts, a commitment to customer quality, and a 21-day ticket issuance deadline, compared to the 49 days in GDS. Tour operator rates will still be available under the Iberia Óptima and Comfort fare families with more options in NDC.
