Grundfos acquisisce la divisione C&I di Culligan

💰 Grundfos, a global leader in water pump solutions, completed the acquisition of Culligan's Commercial & Industrial (C&I) division in Italy, France, and the UK to enhance its water treatment solutions. Culligan’s C&I division recorded over €100 million in revenue in 2023 with around 400 employees. The acquisition excludes Culligan's residential, office, and on-the-go sectors in these countries, as well as operations in the Middle East, Spain, and North America. This follows Grundfos' recent acquisitions in the water treatment sector, including Eurowater (2020), MECO (2021), and Water Works (2022).

Ferrero lancia Nutella Plant&Based: la celebre crema spalmabile ora è adatta a tutti

🍫 In September 2024, Ferrero introduces Nutella® Plant-Based, coinciding with Nutella's 60th anniversary and following the launch of Nutella Ice Cream. The new spread caters to around 12.5 million Italians who prefer plant-based diets and offers a lactose-free option with chickpeas and rice syrup as ingredients. The production line began in January 2023, with first industrial production in June 2024. It will be available in Italy, France, and Belgium in 350g jars starting September 2024 and in other European markets in 2025. The market for breakfast spreads is worth €5.9 billion, with plant-based spreads growing by 31% to approximately €30 million. Nutella® Plant-Based is vegan-approved and gluten-free, with a recommended retail price of €4.49 for 350g.

Sales are distributed 56% through Horeca and 44% in Organized Large Distribution (GDO), with just 5% from exports.

Irlanda, l’exploit del mercato alberghiero

🏦 Ireland's hotel market soared with €655 million in sales during the first half of 2024, nearly quadrupling from €173 million in the first half of 2023. The sale of Dublin’s 265-room Shelbourne Hotel by Kennedy Wilson to Archer Capital was a significant transaction, estimated at almost €260 million. Hard Rock Dublin, after four years, was bought by Leonardo Hotels, rebranded under NYX, leaving no more Hard Rock hotels in the UK or Ireland. Dublin hotel occupancy hit 80% in the first half of the year, with 510 new rooms added and 1,700 under construction. CitizenM and Hoxton are set to open new hotels in Dublin by 2025 and the end of 2024, respectively.

Bergamo-Roma: Aeroitalia aumenta i voli giornalieri

✈ Aeroitalia will increase to four daily connections between Milano Bergamo and Roma Fiumicino starting October 27 with the winter schedule. Weekdays will see four flights, while weekends will maintain one frequency, totaling 22 weekly flights. The airline, which began these routes in 2022 and is currently the sole operator, will use an Atr-72 for the trips, offering more travel convenience and flexibility.

Palermo: anche ad agosto superato il milione di passeggeri

✈ Aeroporto di Palermo surpassed one million passengers in August, with 1.004.073 travelers marking an 11.28% increase from 2023 and a 26.30% rise compared to 2022. August flights totaled 6,975, up 10.64% year-over-year, with international traffic constituting 39.5%. From January to August 2024, Falcone-Borsellino Airport saw over 6 million passengers, a 10.88% increase from 2023, with a 31.88% growth in international visitors.
