☕ Triestespresso Expo 2024 will be happening on October 24-26 at the Generali Convention Center in Trieste, aimed at connecting the global coffee market. This 11th edition introduces a B2B matchmaking activity and will be attended by visitors from over 20 countries. The event includes conferences on the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), coming into effect December 30, 2024, and features Turkey as the guest country. Workshops by Illy and various competitions are also part of the program.

Obicà lancia il nuovo ''Anniversary Special'' in collaborazione con Salumificio Santoro

🍕 Obicà Mozzarella Bar celebrates its 20th anniversary with exclusive "Anniversary Special" dishes and events showcasing Italian authenticity and quality. From September to October, Obicà introduces a new menu featuring Salumificio Santoro's traditional products, including a salumi platter and three unique pizzas made with type 1 flour and natural sourdough. Additionally, an "Italy Journey" drink list, created by beverage specialist Luca Scrimenti, offers six cocktails, each representing an Italian city where Obicà operates. The celebrations will conclude in November and December with offerings from Savitar, a leading quality truffle company. Obicà, founded in 2004 by Silvio Ursini and owned by the Scudieri Family, has 23 cosmopolitan restaurants worldwide, from Milan to Tokyo, with Buffalo Mozzarella DOP as its emblem.

🇮🇹 The 5th edition of "Roma Baccalà" concluded successfully from September 5-8 at Parco Schuster near the Basilica of San Paolo Fuori le Mura in Rome, highlighting Italian and Norwegian culinary traditions. The event, supported by Seafood from Norway and the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Rome, featured tastings, cooking shows, and workshops. Chef Aleksander Strand of the Norwegian embassy showcased a Norwegian Bacalhau dish. The Norwegian cod is salted for 2-5 weeks and dried for 2-3 days, exporting for over 300 years, rich in proteins, vitamins, and minerals.

Indagine CIRFOOD: la ristorazione scolastica soddisfa le famiglie italiane

📚 In a study by Nomisma for CIRFOOD DISTRICT, 91% of interviewed families use school canteen services. The "Perception of School Catering Services" survey reveals a 72% satisfaction rate, attributed to menu variety (36%), sustainability (27%), and service efficiency (31%). Over 80% of families value the social (94%), inclusive (89%), and nutritional benefits (89%) of school meals. Families also acknowledge the role of school meals in reducing food poverty (85%) and improving family life management (88%). The research, involving 608 families, was conducted via CAWI in May 2024.

🍷 Sannio Consorzio Tutela Vini becomes the first in Italy to adopt a state-of-the-art seal for Benevento IGT wines, ensuring authenticity and traceability with a physical tag and a digital passport. This innovative system, featuring a QR code for detailed product information and anti-counterfeiting security technology akin to banknote printing, will be mandatory from August 1, 2024. A first batch of 4 million tags will be unveiled at a Wine talk on Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Museo Arcos in Benevento, starting at 19:00. The initiative is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture with the contribution decree No. 361695 dated July 11, 2023.

Ischia Safari 2024: l'isola verde diventa capitale della gastronomia

Poldo Panino League: il nuovo panino solidale "Anima Candida" creato da Cristina Bowerman

🍕 Poldo Panino League established in Tivoli since 2009 and in Rome since 2023. Owned by Mauro and Francesco Teodori, the panineria in Rome's Via del Pellegrino offers football-inspired sandwiches. The "Anima Candida" sandwich, created by chef Cristina Bowerman, supports Rise Against Hunger Italia with €1 donated per sandwich sold in Rome and Tivoli. It features a dual experience with Mediterranean sea and land flavors, combining ingredients such as shrimp, arugula, garlic oil, lemon zest, hummus, sun-dried tomato cream, roasted zucchini cream, roasted eggplants, salted ricotta, and dairy.
