🍷 Etna Doc wines maintain high standards, with a 0.2% market drop in the first half of the year versus an 8.8% drop in the overall sector. Despite a reduced harvest of 42.5% leading to a 5% decrease in bottled product, Etna Doc wines have a 28% market share by volume in the US, with a distribution price of around $26 per liter. They represent 6% of Sicilian Doc and Docg but account for 45% of the US market value. Out-of-home consumption in the US includes a 62% share in restaurants and hotels, significantly higher than the Sicilian and Italian averages. The third edition of Etna Days is from September 12-14 in Castiglione di Sicilia, with 100 wineries participating. The Etna Doc Consortium, established in 1968, oversees 1,500 hectares and produces 6 million bottles annually, 60% of which are exported.
