With 23 product lines and over 1,000 clients, the company has expanded internationally in countries like France, Germany, Spain, Netherlands, Belgium, Greece, Luxembourg, UK, and Canada. Their products, including Cantabrian anchovies and Piennolo del Vesuvio DOP tomatoes, have been recognized with “3 Great Taste stars” by the UK’s The Guild of Fine Food.

☕ In Naples, Gran Caffè Gambrinus celebrates Italian Historic Cafés Day on October 5th with guided tours from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Founded in 1860, renovated in 1890, and once closed in 1938 due to antifascist meetings, it reopened post-WWII, partially as Banco di Napoli. Revived in the 1970s by Michele Sergio and family, it's restored to former glory, hosting statesmen and pontiffs. To join, reservations are required via email to info@grancaffegambrinus.com.

Germany led EU coffee imports with 911,000 tonnes, while Italy followed closely with 624,600 tonnes. The EU's coffee production reached nearly €13 billion in value, with Italy's renowned brands contributing significantly to global exports.

The EU's coffee production reached €13 billion in value, with Italy leading in both quantity and quality.

Berlucchi e Slow Food lanciano un nuovo progetto di ricerca sui Presìdi

🌱 Berlucchi, pioneer of Franciacorta wine, champions sustainability and backs Slow Food since 2002. In 2024, it supported research to analyze Slow Food Presidia supply chains, examining 80 out of 393 Italian presidia to assess sustainability across environmental, sociocultural, and economic aspects. Coordinated by Cristiana Peano (University of Turin) and Francesco Sottile (University of Palermo), the project began in May 2024 and will conclude in April 2025. Initial findings presented at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2024 highlight the need for improved production practices and highlight the role of Slow Food Presidia in promoting sustainable practices. Berlucchi, with a sustainability report since 2019, aligns its Franciacorta vineyard practices with the project, emphasizing a sustainable viticulture approach.

🌿 Berlucchi, the creator of the first Franciacorta, pioneers sustainability in the agricultural sector, supporting Slow Food since 2002. In 2024, it funded research to analyze and monitor the supply chains of 80 out of 393 Italian Presìdi Slow Food. Aimed at assessing sustainability (agro-environmental, sociocultural, economic), the project, led by Cristiana Peano and Francesco Sottile, started in May 2024 and will conclude in April 2025. Results presented at Terra Madre Salone del Gusto 2024 cover 33 Presìdi, showcasing a commitment to improved environmental practices and biodiversity. Berlucchi also releases a Sustainability Report, with the 2023 edition pending.

🍸 Nodo, a cocktail bar in Piazza delle Coppelle, Rome, founded by Raffaella Foglia, Gerardo Wolleb, and Ruggero Wolleb, opened in 2020 after being conceptualized in 2018. Bar manager Maurizio Musu, along with Leonardo Girini and Benedetta Fiorentini, crafted a new menu. Chef Samuele Pellegrini designed a kitchen menu highlighting high-quality local ingredients. The drink list "Welcome to the Sinners" features eight signature cocktails and about 200 wine labels. "Taylor made" cocktails allow personalized creations.
