Ristorazione: come i turisti selezionano i locali dove mangiare in Italia

📈 In Italy, 38.3% of tourists choose restaurants online, with Google reviews most used at 17%, followed by TripAdvisor (6.7%), and social media (14.5%). Word-of-mouth influences 50.7% of dining decisions, and 11% decide by walking past a restaurant. The survey by Osservatorio Ristorazione included 2400 venues nationwide and will be presented at RistoratoreTop Live in Bologna from October 21-23, 2024. Data shows 61.6% of tourists dine at a restaurant for the first time, while 38.4% are repeat visitors. Dining is most common in pairs (34.1%), with family (31.9%), friends (28.7%), or for work (3.7%). Only 1.6% dine alone. New trends for 2024 include requiring credit card details or deposits for reservations, addressing no-shows which account for 2% of lost revenue for restaurants.

📊 Osservatorio Immagino di GS1 Italy reports a 4.5% decrease in volume but a 7.4% increase in value for products labeled as Italian in supermarkets, totaling over €11.3 billion. Products with Italian claims, geographical indications, or the national flag, accounting for 27.7% of references analyzed, grew by 28.3% in business volume. The DOP label saw a 9.1% growth, reaching €716 million in sales. Regional products in supermarkets saw a 5.2% increase in value, surpassing €3 billion, despite a 3.7% drop in volume, with Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Valle d’Aosta, and Basilicata having double-digit growth. Trentino-Alto Adige leads in sales with over €406 million.
