Matteo Faenza vince la selezione centro&sud di Emergente Chef

🍴 In Rome, Matteo Faenza, chef at MoganoXRitualLab in Formello, won the central-south Italy selection for the prestigious Emergente Chef award by Luigi Cremona and Lorenza Vitali last Wednesday, earning a spot in the national finals next spring. He impressed the jury with two dishes - an Italianized tiradito sans coriander and a cardoncello mushroom with grilled hazelnut miso, spinach foam, and pumpkin seeds. The competition required dishes featuring Aquanaria's sea bass and a vegetable theme. Faenza will compete against finalists from the northern selection held in June at Villa Terzaghi in the Maestro Martino Academy chaired by Carlo Cracco, and others from the first day of central-south selection.

Nespresso lancia il nuovo caffè N°20 per Vertuo con la Chef Viviana Varese

☕ Nespresso launched N°20 for the Original line in September last year, a 100% Nespresso-exclusive coffee variety developed after 20 years of research. Coffee masters crossed two top-tasting Arabica plants and chose Colombia's Cauca and Caldas regions to plant one million N°20 trees, tended by 59 farmers. The result: a coffee with distinctive orange blossom, fresh citrus, and jasmine notes. N°20 also received the Q Coffee™ certification from the Quality Coffee Institute. Limited editions for Original and Vertuo lines will be available from October 7, 2024. Customers can taste N°20 alongside a specially created biscuit by Chef Viviana Varese in selected Nespresso Boutiques from October 10-13 and at POLPO Semplicemente Pesce from November 1-3, 2024.

🍷 Lovely Wines' first Rome edition by AGB Selezione on September 23 at Palazzo Brancaccio showcased over 200 wine labels, attracting a thousand industry professionals. Massimo Ferrari, AGB's sole administrator, spoke on the wine sector's challenging period, shifting consumption habits, and the rising market demands for fresh, dynamic wines with reasonable alcohol content. New partnerships and entries, like Fabio Motta from Bolgheri and international producers Domaine Pierre Thibert, Villa Bon Accueil, and Penet-Chardonnet Grand Cru, were highlighted. AGB Selezione distributes wines from 49 companies, including over 300 labels, 18 Italian and 25 foreign, beyond its six owned Italian wineries.
